BREWSTER DAY CAMP          Newsletter    July 7, 2019        Vol. 38 Issue 11

Hello Brewster Day Camp Family!

The powers that be flipped the switch and it finally feels like summer at 3570 Main Street! Week 2 was a real "scorchah" and we made sure to enjoy the weather responsibly by drinking plenty of H2O and lathering ourselves in sunscreen.

The Camp Family always continues to surprise me and last week was a perfect example why. As we careened into the annual July 5th lull, our campers and staff decided that the best way to beat the heat was to embrace it. As I walked through campus on Friday afternoon, I DISCOVERED the magic of BDC in action, as the entire camp put together a GRAD-Party in and around the pool! With happy campers splashing in the water, dancing to music in the shady grass, and sitting around the pool benches while enjoying their red, white, and blue popsicles, it was clear to me that we had just DISCOVERED a new Week 2 tradition!

At Brewster Day Camp, we encourage every camper and counselor to leap outside of their comfort zone and DISCOVER what lies ahead. Whether you are DISCOVERING a new skill or hobby, or REDISCOVERING an old passion, BDC provides the structure and support to pursue your dreams. Fire up your engines and get ready to hit the ground running as we jump into Creative Arts Week! I am thrilled to witness all of the creative DISCOVERIES that will take place on our campus in the coming days. Grab your paint brushes, lace up your shoes, and remember to pack extra creativity this week as we set out to DISCOVER the magic of Week 3 at BDC!

Please join us as we continue to share...
