And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary.
– Matthew 1:16
Dear St. Mary’s Friends,

With today, March 19, being the Solemnity of Joseph, Husband of Mary, celebrated in this year Pope Francis has dedicated to him, and anticipating our Mass of consecration to St. Joseph this evening, this Newsletter contains some important items for Catholics. This column presents a beautiful daily prayer to St. Joseph and the Vatican document on how to receive a Plenary Indulgence during the year. Other related items follow below.
1. Prayer to St. Joseph (by St. Bernardine of Siena)

My beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as your child.
Take charge of my salvation. Watch over me night and day.
Preserve me from occasions of sin.
Obtain for me purity of body and soul and the spirit of true prayer.
Win for me a spirit of sacrifice, humility, and self-denial.
Obtain for me a burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
and tender love for Mary, my Mother.
St. Joseph be with me living; be with me dying,
and obtain for me a favorable judgment from Jesus. Amen.

2. Plenary Indulgence During this Year
Due to the special nature of this year, offers out of the treasury of graces from the death and Resurrection of the Lord, the possibility of obtaining plenary indulgences. You can read the circumstances and details here.
Health and blessings,
Monsignor Royal
