"Freedom"

    On the fourth of July each year as a country, the United States of America celebrates its freedom from British rule. Our forefathers before the forming of this nation imagined and envisioned a nation that had equality for all, with some exceptions at the time however. The ideals incorporated in this country's formation left room for further expansion of freedoms as the nation evolved and still is evolving today.
    Quoting from the Declaration of Independence: ..." to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them..."-" We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."
    Notice the words the writers of this document used to describe God: Nature's God and Creator. These are very all encompassing descriptive words describing the Divine One. What does this document and these words mean to us at Unity Christ Center? First I'm proposing that the statements I'm quoting here from the Declaration of Independence are Spiritual Principles that are true for all of humanity. We at Unity believe these truths also as the principles brought forth in this document are incorporated in Unity's Vision and Mission Statements as well as in "Unity's Spiritual Principles."

Our New Office Coordinator

We are excited and blessed to have Tim join us and share his many talents.  Tim and Patti will be training the next month so office hours may vary but striving for 9-2:30 Monday-Thursday.
Stop by the office to introduce yourself to Tim.

Tim gained business administration experience as Executive Director at Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity and owning his own business.  He lives in Strum.
 
New Member Classes Coming
 
If you're interested in becoming a member or just learning more about Unity, there will be a meeting Sunday, August 19, after service to discuss dates/times.  Sign up at Unity or phone the office of your interest. 

Stephen Hawking
Some among those attending Sunday's service on 6/17 were interested in Stephen Hawking's words that were shared at his internment memorial as reported by BBC on 6/15/18.  The exact quote (that Richard paraphrased) is:
      "All of us are time travelers.  Be Brave.  Be determined.  Overcome the odds.  It can be done."

Our office hours:
Monday-Thursday 9:00am - 2:30pm
Hours are subject to change so it is best to call before stopping by.
 
After Thursdays at 2:30 pm, phone messages and emails may not be seen or answered before Monday. If you have a question about Sunday worship schedule during this time, please contact your team coordinator directly or contact other members of your team if you need a replacement.

Notes can be left for the office on the clipboard on the desk.  Please sign your name on any notes.
