"Freedom"

On the fourth of July each year as a country, the United States of America celebrates its freedom from British rule. Our forefathers before the forming of this nation imagined and envisioned a nation that had equality for all, with some exceptions at the time however. The ideals incorporated in this country's formation left room for further expansion of freedoms as the nation evolved and still is evolving today.
Quoting from the Declaration of Independence: ..." to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them..."-" We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."
Notice the words the writers of this document used to describe God: Nature's God and Creator. These are very all encompassing descriptive words describing the Divine One. What does this document and these words mean to us at Unity Christ Center? First I'm proposing that the statements I'm quoting here from the Declaration of Independence are Spiritual Principles that are true for all of humanity. We at Unity believe these truths also as the principles brought forth in this document are incorporated in Unity's Vision and Mission Statements as well as in "Unity's Spiritual Principles."
