WEEKLY NEWS - June 24, 2019
Popsicles in the Park
This Saturday, 2pm-4pm
at Park365 (formerly ArcPark)

Beat the Summer Heat and join us for our first ever Popsicles in the Park!

Here's an opportunity to meet up with school friends for a couple of hours of fun and friendship! We will have popsicles to keep everyone cool. New families: this is a great way to start meeting other parents and give your kids a chance to also make some new friends before the school year starts.
Summer is the Time to Prep for Success!
We encourage students to take a break and relax over the summer, however, we don't want them to completely forget about learning. With this in mind, we do have summer reading for the students. In addition, we've noticed that proper keyboarding skills is a weak area for most middle school students. We have included a free typing program that middle school students will be expected to complete over the summer. The summer assignments for 2019 can be found by clicking  here .  Also, if your student needs to work on improving their math skills, Mr. Herrity recommends free, online support from  Kahn Academy ...it includes lessons, video tutorials, and more. Just click on COURSE, then click on your grade, so you'll be ready for MATH SUCCESS this fall!
Summer Hours
If you are planning to stop by school to drop off paperwork or other items, please be sure to CALL FIRST (804-254-8850). The school office hours are typically from 9am-3pm, M-F, but with a small summer staff, we might be in other parts of the building or in a meeting and unable to hear the doorbell. So plan ahead and call first so we can be on the lookout for you! Thank you!
