ORANGE SUPERIOR eFILING (CIVIL-PROBATE)
NEW FILED / RECEIVED RIBBONS

Effective this Friday, June 28, 2019, Orange Superior (for Civil, Probate and Mental Health case types) will be implementing NEW FILED / RECEIVED RIBBONS for electronically filed and electronically received documents.

The new ribbon will be affixed at the top of the first page of the document and will include the information required under CRC 2.259, as well as the date, timestamp, deputy clerk's name, case number, Register of Action (ROA) number.

The electronic FILED ribbon will be printed in blue color to provide distinction from the original text

The electronic RECEIVED ribbon is similar, except the text is "Electronically Received" in place of "Electronically Filed"

When used, the FILED or RECEIVED ribbons replace the prior, standard stamps and has the same legal effect.

Standard stamps will continue to be used/affixed on non-electronically filed/non-electronically received documents.

See larger examples in official court notice:

DDS Legal continues to staff IN-COURT experts for over-the-counter filings, obtain judges' signatures, court document retrievals, deliver courtesy copies and special deliveries directly to departments.

LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR eFILING (CIVIL)
COMMON REJECTIONS - TRY TO AVOID

As LA Superior continues to improve the digital intake procedure, do not forget "clerk review" must take place to accept or reject your eFiling.

Try to avoid these common reasons for rejection:

(1) COURT RESERVATION RECEIPT.
Print actual receipt (not screen shot of payment made);
Include reservation number with caption of document;
Include actual receipt as LAST PAGE of PDF file, behind proof of service (if proof is included, too).

(2) DEFAULT.
Include proof of service filed as to defendants served.

(3) INFORMATION PAGE.
Include page 2 of Summons;
Include page 2 of Dismissals;
Include page 3 of Writs;
If information pages are not included, clerk will reject.

(4) PROPOSED ORDER.
Proposed order must be scanned as separate PDF file.

(5) SUMMONS FOR GUARDIAN AD LITEM or
SUMMONS FOR COMPLAINT IN INTERVENTION.
Summons will not be filed until granted.

DDS Legal is always here to answer and offer any eFiling help for all statewide eFiling courts.
