Daniel Taylor grew up in Lawrenceville, VA and continues to make Lawrenceville his home. However, he sure has gotten around!
Daniel graduated from Southside Virginia Community College's Truck Driver Training School in August 2008. After graduation, he drove long-haul for the same company for four years. He saw beautiful sunsets and sunrises, ate different foods popular in various parts of the country and met many different people.
For the past five years, Daniel has had a bit more home time and family life. He drives a Virginia and North Carolina territory for Gemini Motor Transport, which is a dedicated carrier for Love's Travel Stops. This schedule affords him more time to be a part-time farmer raising cows and crops.
Truck driving is in Daniel's blood. Both his father and grandfather drove trucks and neither he nor they were interested in 9 to 5 desk jobs. Daniel was fortunate to receive a scholarship through the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission to attend SVCC's Truck Driver Training School, which enabled him to kick-start his career.
