Worship at 10:00 am in the Dowd Commons

On Sunday we will worship in the newly renovated Down Commons! There are still some finishing touches to be done, but come check out and celebrate God in this beautiful new space. After worship, stay for a time of fellowship hosted by the Ministry of Faith Formation, which invites those with last names beginning with A-M to bring fruit and those with last names beginning with N-Z to bring breakfast bread, muffins, or pastries. Ann Williams will be our lay worship leader and Amy Starr Redwine's sermon will attempt to answer some "You Asked For It!" questions about forgiveness. Scriptures are Psalms 51:1-12 and Matthew 5:43-48.

Music Notes: This Sunday we welcome musicians Bill Braun and Mary Anne Bromelmeier to our service. Mary Anne Bromelmeier is a life long Covenant member. Daughter of John and Gale, who met at the church in the 1950's. In 1987 she married Fritz Haiss and together they had Max, Therese and Julia. Mary Anne has sung in the Covenant choir since her senior year in high school with a brief time-out for college. This Sunday she is singing two favorites - both tied to water. The spiritual "Didn't It Rain" is a lively "story-telling" piece, and Aaron Copland's "Shall We Gather by the River" calls people together with its melodious tune.
