Access Medical Program

The Access Medical Program is designed to provide access to high quality and affordable healthcare services to the uninsured and under-insured in our community through our network of over 2,000 providers statewide including Renown, Saint Mary’s, and Carson Tahoe. We can assist you in accessing healthcare services including primary care, specialty care, urgent care, hospital-based care, and prescriptions.

As a member of Access Medical you will be assigned a personal healthcare coordinator who will guide you through the healthcare system and help you get the care you need to become and stay healthy. With AHN you are not alone in navigating the complex healthcare system. Our care coordinators will be there for you every step of the way to answer any questions you may have, find providers you may need, and make sure you are being taken care of.

To help protect the health of our clients, our staff, and our community as a whole we have taken steps to be able to provide enrollment into our Access Medical Program over the phone.

Meet our Team - Men's Health Month

Meet AHN COO, Trevor Rice .

" Staying healthy is very important to me because I want to be a good role model for my daughter and want to make sure I’m around to see my grandkids. Staying healthy is something that I work on all the time. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. To stay healthy I do things I enjoy. Like riding my bike, going for walks, playing with my daughter, and gardening. I try to eat healthy. Try being the magic word. It doesn’t happen all the time. I don’t do diets. They don’t work for me. They are too hard to maintain and make it so I don’t enjoy my food. I just try and eat good, healthy food I actually like and try to practice moderation with the really delicious not so good for you stuff. "

Meet Access Medical Care Coordinator, Cristian Morales .

"Staying healthy is super important especially around this time!
There’s a saying “your gut is like your second brain.” Which I definitely agree with. An imbalance in the gut can lead to fatigue, stress, and discomfort which is why I like to take probiotics whether it’s from supplements, yogurt, apple cider vinegar or kombucha!
Trying to maintain an active lifestyle is hard, especially during quarantine. I enjoy going for a run in the evenings while maintaining a safe distance from the people around me."

Meet Non-Medical Case Manager, William Martinez .

"I like to be as active as possible. During the Pandemic, since gyms have been closed, I have resorted to doing more high intensity workouts from home, hiking, mountain biking and going on runs. for my eating habits, I focus on cutting out carbohydrates, sugars, and excessive salt and I substitute it with healthier alternatives. I also like to drink about a gallon of water daily to keep my body hydrated and to help boost my energy level. It’s always tough to try to stick with healthy habits but the end result is always satisfying."
