Elizabeth Dunn

A home-schooled Kenbridge, Virginia native, Elizabeth Dunn earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies from Southside Virginia Community College.  She completed the degree with a 4.0 grade point average.

Looking to secure a career in fashion design, Elizabeth transferred to Virginia Tech, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Design.  While a student at Tech, she received the "outstanding senior award" from the Department of Apparel, Housing and Resource Management and the "Judges' Choice Award for Best Design" for the gown she designed for the capstone fashion show in April of 2018.

Elizabeth chose SVCC for its close proximity to her home and the opportunity to make a gradual transition to a four-year school by focusing on general education courses before concentrating on her major at Virginia Tech.  She shares, "The faculty on the Keysville Campus of SVCC were generous with their time and provided an outstanding classroom experience and personal attention as well."
