Greetings!

This email will be shorter than my others. I wanted to let you know that the chick on our live loon cam hatched overnight! Right now the loons are still on the nest, but they won't be there for long. If you'd like to see the chick, now is the time to watch!

The webcam chick sits on the nest with the female loon after hatching.

We are very happy that this chick has made it. Within the past 72 hours, the loons on this nest have been through quite the ordeal! Please see the incredible video below. Our loon cam was able to capture this event at the webcam nest early Friday morning. Fortunately, this eagle did NOT end up taking the egg.
