KEYNOTE SPEAKER & WORKSHOP PRESENTER
Dr. Ken Ginsburg is a pediatrician specializing in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He also serves as Director of Health Services at Covenant House Pennsylvania, an agency that serves Philadelphia’s homeless and marginalized youth. The theme that ties together his clinical practice, teaching, research and advocacy efforts is that of building on the strength of teenagers by fostering their internal resilience. He works to translate the best of what is known from research and practice into practical approaches parents, professionals and communities can use to build resilience.

Dr. Calderon is a consultant and researcher with the Gallup Organization. In her position she provides leadership and advice for enterprise, non-profit and education organizations to develop and implement strategies designed to create great places to live, learn, serve and work. Valerie directs the Gallup Student Poll—the nation’s largest student survey. The initiative enables school leaders to include non-cognitive metrics with links to student success in their school effectiveness frameworks.
