November 2 & 20
|
Take an underwater journey of Gig Harbor Bay without getting wet! While you stay warm and dry on the dock, divers use an underwater video camera to live stream exactly what they encounter below the surface. This program takes place on Jerisich Public Dock the first Saturday of the month from October-March and runs approximately an hour.

Tuesday, November 5, 6 pm:
Gig Harbor Literary Society meeting dedicated to exploring the literary world of historical fiction, nonfiction, and other works of interest. This event is free and open to the public. Seats are limited;
RSVPs are encouraged. The book for the November meeting is "Citizen Vince" by Jess Walter.

Meaningful Movies in Gig Harbor presents the documentary, "Understanding the Opioid Epidemic" on November 8 at Agnus Dei Church, 11051 Peacock Hill. Snacks and socializing at 6 pm, movie at 6:30 pm. The event is free, donation is gratefully accepted.

Peninsula Guild #1 Thrift Shop's annual HOLIDAY SALE began on October 29 and will run through November 15. Hours are 10 am - 4 pm, Tuesday - Friday. NEW LOCATION, with lots of parking at 5550 Olympic Drive, (between Bartell’s and Benjamin Moore Paint store). Beautiful holiday items have been donated by our generous community throughout the year and are available for this special sale. All proceeds benefit Multi-Care Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.

Festival of Hope: Fair Trade Marketplace is November 15 - 17

Festival of Hope is a true fair trade marketplace, where all items sold are crafted by people in safe, healthy, and ethical working conditions. The festival, to be held at Chapel Hill, will run November 15-17, with varying hours.

Last year the Gig Harbor Basket Brigade fed more than 1,400 local families in need and area military.They work with Peninsula School District and many local charities to identify families in need, as well as social service organizations serving the elderly, special needs, families in crisis, and others in need. This year, the Basket Brigade festivities will be organized from the Tacoma Narrows Airport on November 26 & 27. To find out how you can participate, visit

There are 5K or 10K routes, which begins at 8 am on the main road in front of the Gig Harbor post office (3118 Judson St). This year, packet pickup will be at 7 SEAS BREWING ON JUDSON STREET, on Wednesday, November 27, from 1 - 5 pm.

Winterfest Arts & Crafts Show Happens Thanksgiving Weekend

On Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, Peninsula High School will be hosting their annual two-day arts fair, Winterfest. Nearly 200 Arts & Crafts Artists will be displaying their handcrafted items, with a Hall of Wreaths Silent Auction, Photos with Santa, and food trucks.
