The way to begin a practice is simply to begin. Don't wait for a change in the climate or a sign in the sky. To get started, just step on the path.

-  George Leonard and Michael Murphy

READ: Supernormalities of Everyday Life, by Michael Murphy

Begin recognizing unusual events as the glimmering of extraordinary human functioning. These  extraordinary experiences categorized by Michael Murphy in The Future of the Body are recorded throughout history. Spot the supernormal capacities in this inventory that have surfaced for you.
WATCH:  Clip from LET Video - Two Step  Led by Charlotte Hatch

Practicing the two-step gives you the opportunity to balance, center, and ground while stepping forward, turning, and stepping backward, three important movements to practice in order to prevent falls. The movement also is an embodiment of a paradox, as you move backward to go forward, or to go in the direction that was forward at the beginning. And you can practice holding 2 opposing points-of-view in quick succession, both equally true and real.

"There is a human striving for self-transcendence. It's part of what makes us human. With all of our flaws we want to go a little bit further than we've gone before and maybe even further than anyone else has gone before."

- George Leonard
