Virtual Town Hall Recap
While nothing can quite replace the unique benefits of face-to-face gatherings, virtual events- if thoughtfully done, can accomplish powerful results.

On September 30th, the Aliso Canyon Disaster Health Research Study (ACDHRS) team hosted a Virtual Town Hall via WebEx. Approximately 100 community members tuned in to hear presentations from the County Health Officer, Dr. Muntu Davis and the Chief Science Officer, Dr. Paul Simon.  Attendees shared their experiences and concerns during and after the blowout and valuable insights into what the health study should accomplish and how it can best serve the community.
“Thank you to all who participated in the recent Town Hall. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to share information about the Health Research Study and to hear your perspectives regarding health concerns and priorities for the study. We recognize that the study can only be successful if it is responsive to the needs of the community. We look forward to future opportunities to hear from you as we move forward with this important study.”

-Dr. Paul Simon
Public Health’s Chief Science Officer
