AUGUST 2018
On behalf of the families that we serve, SKSF Board Members and staff, we would like to extend our gratitude for the multiple donations that we’ve received recently from various community organizations and businesses to our Zach’s Place program. Their generosity helps families with valuable respite care allowing them to find relief to escape the overwhelming stress of their daily lives. These contributions to our organization make a difference in the lives of the families we serve. We thank you so much for your kindness and partnership and look forward to a continued relationship.

Sincerely,
Linda Ellegard
SKSF Executive Director
Special Kids Special Families is honored to receive a $25,000 grant from Daniels Fund to support our Zach's Place program. This grant will help support families that need a much needed break from the daily stress of caring for their loved one with a disability. This will impact the lives of everyone in the family unit! Children with disabilities can attend the program and receive specialize care and attention they need while learning new skills, playing games, socializing and participating in indoor and outdoor activities. We are grateful for this boost to help the Zach's Place program!

The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative.  Visit DanielsFund.org to learn more.
Zach's Place kids and staff visited Bob Penkus Motors to extend their gratitude of receiving a $1,000 donation to help support the program. A bundle of cookies and a homemade thank you card from the kids was presented. We appreciate their generosity!

Thanks to Knights of Columbus Council #9993 of St. Patrick's parish for their recent donation to Zach's Place! We are grateful for their continual contributions!
Thank you Papa John's of Southern Colorado for giving back to the community and for donating pizza to our kids at Zach's Place! You've made their weekend brighter!
We'd like to thank Primrose School of Cottonwood Creek for organizing a fundraiser to help raise nearly $1,000 for our Zach’s Place child care center. "I wanted to just tell you how unusual and how outstanding it is for a day care center to reach out to another day care center to provide funding support from the fundraising work that you have done.  I believe that your leadership shows the compassion and care that you all have within the walls of your organization," Linda Ellegard, SKSF Executive Director.
