Top 50 Women in Engineering

WES in partnership with The Telegraph are delighted to announce the 2018 Top 50 Women in Engineering (WE50). The entry criteria this year was Returners and Transferrers. We received nearly 200 applications, from a wide range of STEM sectors, career stages, career routes and backgrounds. There were some amazing stories amongst the nominations - all of which deserve our congratulations. The names of all winners was published last Sunday in a supplement with the Sunday Telegraph.
The full list of all WE50 winners can be found here.

The winners attended a private ceremony yesterday at the Royal Academy of Engineering, in which they received their awards.
Congratulations to all who won and were nominated!

PROCESSIONS

Many of the very same women who campaigned for the vote 100 years ago went on to set up the Women's Engineering Society a year later in 1919.  WES is proud to have taken part in the PROCESSIONS marches on Sunday 10th June in London and in Edinburgh.

It was a fantastic event and and great day was had by all. The marches inspired a great sense of togetherness and there were some amazing banners on show. For more pictures have a look at our Facebook page here.

Congratulations!

Who is your heroine? WES's Tilly Shilling is already on their website but it would be wonderful to get some other WES and engineering women featured.

Nominate your Extraordinary Woman by emailing [email protected]
Include as much detail as you can - what made your Extraordinary Woman special and is there an image HODS can share? Your suggestions could feature on their Wall of Women or in a special blog post.
