Saturday, November 9, 2019, 2 p.m.
| Yocum Institute for Arts Education, 3000 Penn Ave, West Lawn PA 19609
Stephanie Trick and her husband Paolo Alderighi will perform a piano concert featuring the Yocum’s twin Steinways.
Tickets are available at the Yocum Institute or at the door: $20. Ticket proceeds will be split 50/50 between Yocum and the Wilson Scholarship Fund.
The concert will feature stride, ragtime and great American songbook renditions of popular music by this international duo of accomplished pianists. Their only area appearance in 2019 and 2020.

A Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest pre-concert featuring Paris Washboard, a quartet of clarinetist, trombonist, pianist and washboard player featuring New Orleans Dixieland music straight from Paris, France. Only known regional appearance in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Tickets are available at the Yocum Institute or at the door: $20. Ticket proceeds will be split 50/50 between Yocum and the Wilson Scholarship Fund.

Ben Mauger’s Vintage Jazz Quartet plays traditional jazz in the Old West dining room and dessert location popular since 1973.
Donations to the Wilson Scholarship Fund suggested. Food purchases required in lieu of a music cover charge.
The Wilson Scholarship Fund has awarded $251,900 in scholarships since 1999.

Wilson's Distinguished Alumni

|
We are currently accepting applications for Wilson's Distinguished Alumni. Nominees must have graduated from Wilson High School at least 15 years prior to nomination, and have consistently demonstrated, both personally and professionally, excellence of academic endeavors, career experiences, and/or local, state, or national community service. All applications will be reviewed by a committee. Selected Distinguished Alumni will be recognized during the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. PPL Work to Close Van Reed Road Between Snyder Rd. and Dwight St.
|
|
PPL Electric Utilities will be working on Van Reed Road in Spring Township as crews install an underground transmission line.
To accomplish this work, Van Reed Road will be closed between Snyder Road and Dwight Street on the following dates/times:
Friday, November 1 at 10 pm through Monday, November 4 at 6 am
Detour signs will be put up to guide traffic through the road closures. We wanted our community to be aware of these road closures.
In addition, PPL will be periodically working in the area of Dwight Street and Van Reed Roads from 9 am- 2:30 pm on weekdays. During this time, the road will remain open, however, it may be restricted to one lane at times.

Green Valley Elementary Art Teacher, Mrs. Angelotti, works closely with her students to explore creativity in a fun and positive environment. Grandview Gallery is honored to work with Mrs. Angelotti and her wonderfully creative young artists.

18th Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner Dance

Join Wilson High School Junior ROTC for the 18th Annual Berks County Veterans Appreciation Dinner Dance, which will be held on Saturday, November 9, from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, in the Wilson High School Gymnasium.
Tickets can be purchased in the high school office between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm on any school day, or at any Berks County Boscov's Department Store. Tickets are $15 and checks should be made payable to Berks County Veteran Appreciation Dance. Join us, as we honor veterans: Past, Present, and Future. Proceeds benefit the Jarett Yoder Foundation.

Registration for Wilson Lacrosse Spring 2020

The Spring 2020 Lacrosse season will begin in March. You can register online by visiting our website or click on the
link.
Register online before January 6, 2020 and your registration cost is only $95. All online registrations made on/after January 6th 2020, will be at our standard, regular rate of $125.
If you are in need of a new pinnie, or if you are new to the program this year, we will hold a pinnie fitting on Wednesday, November 13, at the Wilson High School Lower House cafeteria from 7pm - 8pm.

2019 Wilson Education Foundation Online Auction

Calling all Bulldogs! Don’t miss out on the chance to participate in the 2019 Wilson Education Foundation Online Auction. Unique, one-of-a-kind Wilson items include sports team registrations, camps, private lessons, sports passes, “Principal for A Day” at your own Elementary School, and “Player of the Night” experiences! There are lots of fun items for students of all ages (K-12) and their families!
Silent Auction items benefit the Wilson Education Foundation (WEF) CASINO BASH fundraising event that will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Online bidding is open to anyone prior to the event and you do not need to be present to win. There may be items on the list that you already sign up for every year or a great experience you would want to surprise a child or grandchild! By participating, bidding, and purchasing through WEF, you are also supporting the teachers and students of the Wilson School District at the same time!
