A Prayer for Those Suffering from the Coronavirus

You shall not be afraid of any terror by night
nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Of the plague that stalks in the darkness,
nor of the sickness that lays waste
at mid-day.
Ps 91:5-6

Merciful God, hear our fervent prayer for all who suffer from the coronavirus.
May those who are infected receive the proper treatment
and the comfort of your healing presence.
May their caregivers, families and neighbors be shielded
from the onslaught of the virus.
Give solace to those who grieve the loss of loved ones.
Protect and guide those who strive to find a cure,
that their work may conquer the disease and restore communities to wholeness and
health.
Help us to rise above fear.
We pray in the name of your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Amen.

Gracious God, we thank you for the work and witness of your servant Kimberly, who has
enriched this community; now bless and preserve her at this time of transition. Guide her in the continued use of your gifts. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thank you to St. Andrew’s

Dear St. Andrew’s friends, I heard from so many of you following the death of my mom the day after Christmas, and I am beyond grateful for your prayers and kind words. It truly has meant the world to me.

You may or may not know, but the festival (white) chasuble was given by my parents in honor of my installation as rector in 2001. There is an inscription in the lining of the chasuble. In the years since I moved to Florida, you have been blessed by B.J.’s leadership and now Ginny’s. You can’t know how happy that makes me!

Thank you again for remembering me and my family.
Love, Wendy
