Hi Hope Ames!
I've been looking forward to the next two Sundays for a while!
This weekend, you get to help write the sermon. Have you ever had a question that you wish was addressed on a Sunday morning by a pastor? This is your chance! We'll tune into Hope's West Des Moines campus to watch Senior Pastor Mike Housholder, and Teaching Pastors Jeremy Johnson and Caroline Boehnke-Becker answer questions that will be coming in from our campuses across central Iowa.
You might be wondering how Hope Ames is involved with a sermon preached in West Des Moines. We've got you covered! Feel free to submit your questions
anonymously here. We will forward all submissions to our preaching team on Sunday morning.
But, what if your question isn't answered on Sunday? It won't go to waste. The questions we receive will help shape our sermons for 2019, so be sure to submit!
Then, on Sunday, Aug. 19, we will celebrate our 1-year anniversary as a church in Ames! Come on out to Bandshell Park at 10:00 am (that's not a typo - we're moving our service time from 10:30 to 10, so be sure to tell everyone!) for worship. After, we'll have a catered picnic, inflatables and games for everyone to enjoy. I'm excited to preach that weekend, kicking off a brand new series, called "HOPE4IA" (that's license plate language for "Hope for Iowa"). We'll dive into who/what/why God is calling us to be for our neighbors. Don't miss it!
See you Sunday!
Peace,
Danny
