Bordeaux & Aquitaine Region Itinerary
June 10-19, 2019
_____________________________________________________

After we rendez-vous in Paris, we'll travel to Bordeaux's prestigious Left Bank wine region where some of the world's most famous wines are produced from grapes grown on the gravelly banks of the Gironde River, a terroir originally formed by pre-historic glaciers.

We'll settle into our elegant Relais & Châteaux hotel in Pauillac, Château Cordeillan-Bages, our home base for the next nine days while we explore the beautiful Southwestern region of Aquitaine. Our adventures will include private tours of tony wine châteaux and their vineyards hosted by Bordeaux wine expert Martine Mandé. Day trips to visit nearby towns including Cognac, Cap-Ferrat, St. Emilion, Sauternes, St. Estephe, St. Julien, Margaux, and the beautiful, newly renovated city of Bordeaux.
Martine & Lisa in Bordeaux

Throughout our 10 days together we'll explore mythic wineries producing Grands Cru Classé or "Great Classified Wines" and pamper your palate with incredible tastings. We'll visit an oyster cabana on the Arcachon Bay, see the Dune de Pilat, Europe's largest sand dune, and learn about Cognac, the region's eau-de-vie. We'll discover picturesque Southwestern French wine villages during our travels through the hilly region bordered by the Gironde and Garrone Rivers.

Lunches and dinners in wine châteaux, local bistros and an artful Michelin-starred dinner will round out our gourmet adventures.
Your hosts: Philippe & Lisa Boët, proprietors of Chez Boët Parisian bistrot since 2003, in Sarlat, Dordogne.

Our carefully curated trip is the perfect adventure for Francophiles, foodies and wine aficionados alike. The only requirement: bring along your joie de vivre and an appreciation for Gallic humor.

This unique experience is a Voyage Boët exclusive. Spots are limited as we are staying in boutique properties. It is a perfect pilgrimage  for travelers who love wine and for those who have a desire to expand their wine knowledge and enjoy historic château architecture.
