Scam Alerts!
In the past week, we have received several alerts from the Federal Trade Commission and two from the Better Business Bureau.

Bottom Line: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And if someone is asking for your personal information, proceed with caution!
Federal Trade Commission Scam Alerts:

Has someone asked you to go get a gift card to pay for something? Lots of people have told us they’ve been asked to pay with gift cards – by a caller claiming to be with the IRS, or tech support, or a so-called family member in need.

Instead of min(d)ing their own business, are scammers using your computer as their virtual ATM?

Would you be tempted by an online business training program that promises you could earn thousands of dollars a month working from home?

Better Business Bureau Scam Alerts:

If you were shopping for a 2010 Cadillac Escalade Luxury, you would need about $20,000, so imagine finding one online for about one-fourth that price.

You get a Facebook Messenger chat that look like it comes from a friend or relative. Scammers will either hack an account or create a separate lookalike profile by stealing photos and personal information. Either way, scammers are banking that you will trust a message that appears to come from someone you know.
Financial Straight Talk with David Dickens
If you've ever ridden the subway in London, you've probably noticed the "Mind The Gap" signs warning you to beware of the gap between the train door and the station platform. Let's talk about minding the gaps in your retirement plan. We'll also discuss the financial issues we tend to procrastinate and do a little couples planning.

Elizabeth & Marley take a trip to Colorado
Linda and David Dickens travel to Texas this past weekend to celebrate Baby David's 1st birthday!

Look at that bow tie!

"Around every corner was beautiful views, laughter and some much needed time with my family and friends!

We visited Red Rock Amphitheater, a block party in Downtown Littleton with street performers, a stroll through Pearl Street in Downtown Boulder and a little drive up the Rocky's. We can't wait to go back!" Elizabeth

Weekly Quote, Tip, Riddle & Recipe

WEEKLY QUOTE -   “Where there is friendship, there is our natural soil.”
- Voltaire

WEEKLY TIP -   When a lender permits a borrower to defer a college loan, the borrower may still have to pay interest on the remaining loan balance. The lender, not the borrower, will decide when the loan payments need to restart.

WEEKLY RIDDLE - It inhibits sight, makes the air colder, and it will come back for you before the day is done. What is it?

Last week’s riddle:
I am plain, thin, and lonely, but you use me all the time. I can appear with one keystroke or just one movement when you write. What am I?

Last week’s answer:
The number 1.
