New Fund Supports Sycamore Lions Charities
Announcing the  Sycamore Lions Charities Jack Shrout Fund , a new  agency fund   in support of the Sycamore Lions Charities.

Jack was a dedicated Sycamore citizen and member of the Sycamore Lions Club for more than 50 years. He joined the Lions in 1957 and was active until the time of his passing in 2012.

Recipient of Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship Announced
Congratulations to Dylan Propheter of DeKalb , recipient of the 2018 Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship award. Following his graduation from DeKalb High School this past May, Dylan plans to attend Illinois Wesleyan University in the fall, majoring in Music Education.

Youth Engaged In Philanthropy (YEP) Begins 10th Year
YEP kicks off their 10 th year with a Meet & Greet on Sunday, August 26 from 4 - 5 p.m. The Meet & Greet is a fun and easy way to learn more about this unique youth-led program. High school youth with a desire to make a positive impact in DeKalb County should consider attending. Returning members are highly encouraged to attend and bring a friend .

DCNP - Digital Marketing Meetup
Digital Marketing Meetups are a new opportunity for DCNP members to collaborate and share digital marketing ideas related to their organization . Due to an overwhelming response, the August Meetup is already AT CAPACITY. Stay tuned for communication about the next session in November .

$25,000 Awarded in Celebration Grants
In celebration of 25 years as a Community Foundation, Celebration Grants ($2,500) provide an opportunity to celebrate with each community in DeKalb County. It's been a great summer of community interaction and collecting nominations for local nonprofits and community organizations.

Up next are the final four communities of Cortland, Maple Park, Somonauk, and Sycamore.

Applications Accepted for Fall 2018 Grants
Nonprofit and community organizations are encouraged to apply for any of the following grant programs :
  • Community Needs Grants - Provides support for the charitable needs and efforts of our local nonprofit and community organizations. Deadline to apply is September 1, 2018.
