Quilts of Valor
Date: Thursday, October 10

A Quilt of Valor is our award to those who have been touched by war. It says "thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor" in serving our nation. If you would like to participate in this local sewing group, please join us on any or all dates to work on your own Quilt of Valor or to assist others with their quilts.
Beginning Quilting - Mosaic
Teacher: Diane Juskelis
Dates: Wednesdays, Oct. 16, 23, 30 & Nov. 6
Time: 10am-12pm

Beginning Quilting 102 expands on the quilting skills learned in Beginning Quilting 101. This class will focus on the use of fat quarters to piece blocks for a quilt. Students will also learn how to cut and sew sashing strips and border strips for their quilt.

Students may choose to make a crib, lap, twin or queen sized quilt. Store sample is a lap size quilt.

Cutting and sewing homework is required.

Test-drive one of our computerized sewing machines to complete your quilt.
Simply A Pleasure Table Runner

This table runner is such a joy to make you'll be tempted to make it again and again. You can't go wrong choosing the fabrics. The center square is 6-1/2 inches finished. You can use large flowers or embroider your own design. It's guaranteed to look fabulous.
Embroidery Workshop - Christmas Wreath (Grand Dream or Majestic Hoop)

Come learn the advantages of using the amazing Pfaff Grand Dream Hoop or the Husqvarna Viking Majestic Hoop and end up with this beautiful poinsettia wreath embroidery! You will learn to use the precise placement/design placement features of our machines. The design for this class is free with your enrollment!

Please bring a lunch as there is not time to run out to local eateries.
Braided Twist Table Runner

Learn a new technique to make a table runner that involves NO QUILTING, BINDING OR HAND SEWING! This class will teach you the techniques to make the basic Braided Twist Table Runner. Once you learn the basic techniques, you can then go on to make variations of the basic twist, a 45 degree twist runner, a reversible runner or a bonus blossom topper.
Bargello Table Runner and Placemat
Teacher: Nicole Lester

In this workshop, you will be making a Bargello table runner and coordinating place mat. You will then be able to take these skills and techniques home to create as many place mats as you desire! We will have fun experimenting with fabric placement and discussing the best techniques for perfect strip sets. This is just the beginning of your Bargello obsession!

Do you want to learn quick easy digitizing projects? If so this is the class for you. We will meet each month and learn to digitize a new complete project using Premier+ or Premier+2 software. Come join Jane as she guides you through the software modules necessary for these projects.
Custom Quilting on your
 Embroidery Machine
Teacher: Diane Juskelis

Do you want to expand the use of your embroidery machine to do custom quilting on your projects? This class will start by making a table runner to use for our custom quilting designs. The full-day class will show you how to position designs on your table runner to custom quilt the squares, setting triangles and border of this adorable runner. Once you practice on this runner, you can move on to expanding your skills by using the designs in the required book on quilts you have made.
OPEN SEW SATURDAY
Dates: Saturdays, Nov. 2, & Dec.7
Time: 10am-5pm

Join us on the 1st Saturday each month for OPEN SEW SATURDAY! A day for you to come in with your own sewing or embroidery machine, and whatever project you may be working on. We chat and give a little help if you need it. Bring your own lunch, or go out somewhere nearby, just sort of free-wheeling it. We'll leave that up to you.
Laura Heine Collage Quilt

Have you seen the GORGEOUS collages made by Laura Heine? Have you always wanted to make one, but the process scared you off? Now is the time to dive in with her Teeny Tiny Collage Patterns class taught by Nicole. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the technique and decide if you want to venture into her larger collage patterns!

By the end of the class, you will be more than hooked and ready to conquer her larger patterns! Get ready to be addicted to the collage craze!

SAMPLES!!!
Sew Many Triangles - Lots of homespun fabric make this a softly rugged quilt for the men in your life. No flowers here! All you need is a 60 degree Creative Grids ruler. The pattern is included with our kit. The fall colors in this quilt will put you in the mood to curl up with a warm drink and a good book.
Raven's Claw Wallhanging - This quilt uses our most popular Halloween panel with some simple piecing to really make it something special. Come in, you will want to see it in person. Kits are limited, so don't wait too long.

Kim Diehl has announced the next series of Simple Whatnots 9 , and I just couldn't wait to share the projects and new fabric line Esther's Heirloom Shirtings. Fabrics won't arrive until December and club will not be able to start before January. I am excited to see that this line has more light colored fabrics than previously, and the projects are wonderful, and what I always expect from Kim Diehl. She does not disappoint!
