Here's the 2019 Awards booklet
- Philmont's awards are on page 82 & 83.
This NYS award announced this afternoon is the outcome of community-based planning at its best! Together in Working Groups, starting small in 2018 with a handful of creative, talented and committed community members including Julia Sedlock, Mark Rowntree and Michael Seserman, we collaboratively brought the project to the community. A series of Village Hall presentations from Jan-Feb 2019 brought to scale PBI's community-based model resulting in over 40 people participating and project
Working Groups
- one group for every area in the Philmont Rising effort, along with a beautiful banner logo designed by Arthur King (Consulting), another wonderful collaborating resident in the village.
By consistently and steadily inching forward every month, working in partnership with the Village of Philmont, we collectively put Philmont ahead of the curve. It made it possible for PBI to methodically craft a substantial proposal over a three-month time span (May-July), all the while meeting with the Working Groups and the Village Co-Chairs to build an integrated proposal with an ambitious and bold $407,419 project for a little village!

Well done everyone! 2019 has been an awesome year collaboratively achieving the community's vision for continued revitalization.
