On August 4, 2018, the Federal Emergency Management Agency declared DR-4382, California Wildfires and High Winds in Shasta County. As detailed in Program Bulletin 2018-10, CalHFA will waive its first-time homebuyer requirement for borrowers impacted in an area declared a Major Disaster by FEMA including this newest disaster declaration. All eligible borrowers must meet all other program guidelines. All CalHFA program guidelines can be found in our program handbooks.
