Greetings!

This email is directed at any NFLPA-certified contract advisor interested in how the NFL draft works as well as the months leading up to the draft. Note: We are not endorsed, sponsored, or otherwise affiliated with the NFLPA.
About the Practice Exams and Study Guide
As you may have already heard, Inside the League is the only place on the Internet where you can find practice questions for the NFLPA exam you'll be taking this summer. We get lots of questions about it, so let's cover a few now.
Our study guide:  The practice exam is just the start of how we can help you achieve your goal of success in this business. We've also got a study guide you can use that we highly recommend. It's gotten rave reviews over the years, and basically gives you all the info you'll receive in the pre-test seminar. It's $150 plus tax, and we'll email it to you (it's a PDF of about 60 pages) immediately after you pay for it. It's the best way to trim the CBA down to a more manageable size.
Exam 1:  Our first practice exam  is $175 for non-ITL clients and $125 for clients (plus tax), and consists of 40 questions, all multiple choice (like the actual exam). We cover all the topics on the CBA that are on the test. You'll proceed through the test with one question per page, and after you finish, you're taken to an answer page that 'grades' your test and provides references to where you can find the answer in the CBA. If your answer was wrong, it will appear in red on the answer key. If it's correct, it will be in black. Our test was written by an actual contract advisor with a client list, not some egghead professor (and certainly not me). You can take the practice exam as many times as you want at no additional cost, and it's on the site, so you don't have to worry about waiting for it to come through the mail. Pretty straightforward stuff.
Exam 2: Last summer, we added a second 40-question exam . It's very similar to the first one, and costs $75 for non-subscribers and $50 for subscribers (plus tax). The idea is to give you two complete chances to really test where you stand before the big day. We recommend you  buy the study guide , study up, buy Exam 1, find out where your blind spots are, then buy Exam 2. By then, we think you'll be ready. And remember -- you'll still have a chance to listen to the pre-exam seminar and ask any other questions you have.
About registration: When you go to  the registration page, it asks you to set up an account. This trips a lot of people up. If they're already ITL clients, they want to put in the username and password they already use to log in to ITL. The important thing to remember is that there are two different places to log in on our website, and you have to log in  here  for the practice exam, not  here . If you're an ITL client, you can even use the same username and password you registered with on 'regular' ITL, but you have to enter it separately. They're separate databases. It's also important to remember that when you buy, we have to activate you manually. Once you enter all your information, it generates an email letting us know, and we have to activate your account. Sometimes we miss it, or are a little late. So once you complete registration, send me an email at  [email protected]  just to make sure. I'll get you set up, and then bombs away.
Exclusivity:  Maybe you're not worried about the exam, and if not, that's great. However, I'd urge you not to completely dismiss it. Yes, it's open book. Yes, it's multiple choice. Yes, it's curved. However, about five years ago, the NFLPA made the test significantly harder. That dropped the passing rate from around 70 percent to about 45 percent, a big drop. A lot of people, even attorneys, fall into the trap of thinking it's going to be a walk in the park, and that they can look up the answers to the questions that confuse them. Don't do this. You only have three hours to finish the test, and every year, there are would-be agents who don't have enough time. You won't find a practice exam anywhere else on the Internet. What's more, even if you buy all three of our materials, you will spend about a third of what our competition charges, and our materials are more proven, as well. How often do you get the chance to spend less money to get a better product? If you have any uncertainty about taking it, we urge you to  take the risk of coming aboard.   Our cost is pretty reasonable when you consider the financial  and opportunity cost of having to wait a year to return to D.C. next summer. If you have questions, please   let us know .
