IDA student leaders demonstrate assistive technology for dyslexia.
March 1, 2018 - Kudos to our four student leaders who demonstrated Apps and chrome extensions to assist with reading, writing, spelling and homework organization.
The audience consisted of families from Lake Oswego and the surrounding areas as well as some teachers. They were all captivated by the students' self-advocacy and their use of tools to help them acces
s the curriculum and work to their full potential in school!
The meeting was hosted by Lake Oswego School District's Parent Advisory Council for Special Services. The evening also included an informative presentation by Phyllis Petty from Portland Community College Disability Services. Lake Oswego School District families were thankful to have the support of the IDA-Oregon Branch at this event!
Special thanks to IDA - Oregon board member Michele Barnett for helping to organize this event.
