Vacation Bible School

The St. Josaphat Vacation Bible School program is a fun way for children from ages 4-10 to learn about Jesus and the stories from the Bible. The children start out their days by meeting in the gym at 8:45 in the morning. They play games, listen to a story from the Bible, eat a special snack, learn and sing songs, and make crafts. Each of these activities corresponds with the theme- Jesus Rescues Us: Shipwrecked. Each age group is separated into four colors: red, purple, blue, and orange. They split off just after the morning gathering activity to start their daily rotation. After completing their rounds, all of the groups join again to pray and sing the theme song, "Never Let Go of Me," before leaving at 11:30.

Here are what a few kids have to say about the camp:

"I think that it's good, and I like it because we have music and we make crafts." -Bobby Horenkamp (age 5)

"We learn a lot about Jesus, and it's really fun." -Brian Patton (age 5)

"It's fun. My favorite part of Vacation Bible School is going to the park to play games." -Mariana Storino (age 5)

"I like it because I come back to school and learn about Jesus, and make crafts." -Penelope Bradford (age 4)

"We make crafts and take them home. I give them to my mommy. She loves them. I need a little help making mine sometimes but the big kids help me." -Luke Wesley (age 4)

"I like it because we have a lot of crafts and activities."
-Grace O'Neil (age 10)

"What I like about Vacation Bible School is that there are a lot of fun activities and they are really fun."
-Whitney Kelly (age 8)

"There are different stations and we can learn different things."
-Lauren Steele (age 9)

"I like the fun activities and the crafts that we do and the games outside, and I like that after Bible School, we do a prayer and a dance and then go home."
-Lara Fairfield, (age 8)

"We do fun skits to learn about bible stories."
-Graham Spuhler (age 8)
