Community Day
Friday, October 11 will be a day of service for all students and faculty. Students have been provided the details for their specific service assignments and are to report at the designated time.
Reminder to all Juniors and Junior Parents - Class Ring
Ring Mass will be Monday, November 4th. If you have purchased a ring, please make sure you pay any balance that might be due directly to Gary Lehman at Herff Jones Inc. If you did not purchase a ring this past Spring and now wish to do so, please contact Gary Lehman at 215-245-8660 to order one. Parents Club NYC Trip
Reserve early for our annual Bus Trip to New York on Friday, December 13. The trip sells out quickly!
Sit back, relax, enjoy the ride, then take in a show. You will enjoy the Christmas lights and Christmas trees or you can just shop until you drop! Purchase tickets online or download the information and send a check to school to the attention of Parents' Club/New York Trip. Please fill out attached waiver.
This trip is open to anyone in the community; you do not have to be part of the Academy to attend.

DRAMA TRIP TO NYC
Down payment for Trip to NYC to see West Side Story is due
by October 15th - $50.00 made payable to Saint Basil Academy.
Any student is invited to attend - non-drama students cost is $120. Drama Students - $100

SBA Drama Club will present on
Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23 at 7:00 PM. Tickets available at the door (bring in a canned good for $1.00 off admission up to 2 cans).
There will be an Alumnae Meet and Greet prior to the November 23 performance at 5:30 PM. Come mingle!
Counseling Updates
Testing Day - Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors Only
Standardized Testing comes to SBA on Wednesday, October 16th. The freshman will take the PSAT 8/9; sophomores will take the preACT; and juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT. ALL Testing begins promptly at 8:00am. Students will be assigned testing rooms in school. Testing times will vary depending on grade level, but students testing with standard time should all be dismissed by 12 noon.
Students are asked to bring #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils, please) and a calculator. Students are not allowed to have their phones or ANY WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY during the testing. Testing proctors will collect ALL devices before the start of the testing.

AP Testing
AP Test monies are due by October 31st. The cost of each test is $94.00 and is payable online through the School Store or by check. Please make all checks payable to Saint Basil Academy.
College Visits
College Visits continue at Saint Basil Academy. ALL juniors and seniors are welcome to sign up on Naviance if they are interested in a particular school.
College Prep at Manor College
A great, free, college preparatory program that is designed to get your high school students acquainted with some of the resources available to them when they get to college.

FAFSA Completion Morning
As of October 1, the FAFSA is available and should be completed. SBA is hosting a FAFSA completion morning on Tuesday, October 15 at 7:30am in the Learning Commons. Mrs. Fran Mckeown from PHEAA will be on hand to answer questions and help facilitate the process. Please join us for light refreshment and RSVP HERE by October 14.
In addition to the FAFSA, if your college requires the CSS Profile to be completed, that is also available as of October 1. Not all schools require the CSS Profile to be completed.
