June 21st is the official start of summer, and Waynesboro has so much 
to do on those hot summer days and warm summer nights!  Enjoy an outdoor concert, snag a foul ball at a Waynesboro Generals game, 
or sample some sweet treats at the annual carnival.  There's something 
for everyone where good nature comes naturally!
 
Bacon in the 'Boro, The South River Music Festival

The Wayne Theatre presents Bacon in the 'Boro: The South River Music Festival along the banks of the South River in Constitution Park. Gates will open at 1 PM with music starting at 3 PM.  Join us for this music and food festival with local food (can you say bacon?), craft beer, cider and wine, activities for children including a tent from the Blue Ridge Children's Museum and yard games including cornhole and Jenga.

Groovin' at the Greenway
Thursday evenings in June & July (Except July 4)

Great music accompanied by good food and kids activities led by Blue Ridge Children's Museum. Grab your spot in the grass, spread your blanket, grab a bite at the food truck, then kick back and relax. The band starts at 6:00 pm. Come out and rock out!

Kids Fun 2 Run Mud Run & Fun Dash

The Mud Run (5-12 yr olds) and Fun Dash (3-5 yr olds) wind through the fields and trails of Waynesboro's Ridgeview Park.  Whether traversing the balance beams, crawling through the mud pit, or sliding to victory on the giant slip n' slide, your kids are guaranteed to have a good time! 
 
Dooms Volunteer Fire Co. Carnival
June 11 - June 15
Constitution Park

It wouldn't be summer without a local carnival, and this one benefits the Dooms Fire Department. On Tuesday through Thursday, the carnival is open from 6 PM - 10 PM.  On Friday and Saturday, carnival hours are from 6 PM -11 PM.

The Waynesboro Generals, 2017 Valley League Champions, play in the Valley Baseball League, a summer baseball league founded in 1897 that plays in cities and towns in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
