From the Desk of the Executive Director
Happy August! We wrapped up the month of July with the 40th Annual Riverboat Days.

Did you have a chance to come out and enjoy the festivities? We had two great bands this year – Section 8 and Next2Nothing. Both did an amazing job and drew huge crowds to Heritage Park. Congratulations to our winners of the Duck Derby: Nick Marx, Brenda Pearson, and Kay Miller. We also crowned our 2018 Riverboat Days Royalty. A congratulations goes out to our Riverboat Days Queen Maia Fries and 1st Attendant Megan Springer. After a few years away, the Riverboat Days Car Show was back! Did you get a chance to come out and see all the cars that participated? A huge shout out goes to the committee that worked hard to bring this event back to Riverboat Days – you did a great job! Riverboat Days would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and the support of our volunteers. Thank you to all!

And just like that, summer is beginning to come to a close. But before you send the kids back to school and pull out your fall decorations, take the time to enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Rent some bikes from River Rider Cycle and explore our community or go for a kayaking adventure with Broken Paddle Guiding . Visit the National Eagle Center and Castlerock Museum and get in a round of mini golf at LARK Toys . But most of all, enjoy the weather and the season and have fun. If there is anything we may assist you with, please reach out. We are always happy to help! Have a great month!

All the best,
Chrissy Dawson
