Letter from the BOD President:
Dear Members and Friends,

Happy New Year!  Well...  not really, but the River's Edge Arts Alliance just closed our FISCAL year on July 31.  We will be scheduling our Annual meeting to take place in early Fall.  We have decided to move the meeting until after we have done a preliminary audit of our financials for the last fiscal year.

Even though we are in the thick of the Dog Days of summer, we are busy closing out our final Summer Drama Workshop performances this week.  There are 2 chances left to see one of our shows on Friday, Aug 3.  Details below.

We have finalized our Art in the Hall Calendar for the next year.  We are also starting to plan for many of our programs including River's Edge School of Music, the REHarmonix, and more... 

The board is launching a new membership structure for the new year.  All of the details are below.  Please consider becoming a member today!   Your membership fees help us support all of the wonderful programs listed below.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our friends and members for their support through donations and volunteering.

Program Updates:
The River's Edge Players 

One Act Festival:

We had an amazing response to our request to submit shows for the festival!  We had over 20 suggestions and original plays submitted.   The selection committee is meeting next week to review the plays.

Auditions will take place in mid-August.  Rehearsals will take place in September - October.

Summer Drama Workshop 2018

There are two shows on Friday, August 3!

Here is a list of our performances which are open to the public.  All shows are presented in the AIR CONDITIONED Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School Auditorium:
 
Little Theater II (Gr 1 - 3) presents  THE GREAT WOLF MASHUP Aug 3 at 1pm - Tickets $5

There will be concessions sold at all shows.  Proceeds from the Ticket Sales and Concession sales go directly toward our Summer Drama Workshop program.


River's Edge Chorale

Rehearsals will resume in early October in preparation for our annual Holiday Concert and the Hudson Holiday Stroll.

  • One individual or household membership can fund a full year's scholarship for a River's Edge Chorale participant.
  • Three individual or household memberships can support art supplies for children's activities at a community festival.
  • Five individual or household memberships can help offset the royalty costs for a small theatrical production.

If you are passionate about the arts and want to help make a difference in the community, a BOD position may be for you!   As a board member, you will be expected to attend our monthly meetings, attend some of our programs, and provide support throughout your term.  Our current board has a variety of experience in the arts, education, business and more.
