A BIT OF AN INTRO
Dancing Academy holds a whole school show once every other year. The shows offers a great opportunity for our students to perform choreographed dances on stage with their class peers, in full costume, in front of an audience of family and friends with a professional photographer and videographer to remember the experience by.

The shows are completely optional. There is never any pressure to take part should your child choose to opt out but we would of course like as many students to be involved as possible, it really is a fantastic experience. Students who do choose to opt out will still learn the dance routines during classes alongside their regular class work.

This will be an extra special show year for DA as it will be celebrating 10 years of dancing success!

This will include a costume that your child will get to keep after the show.

This price reflects the cost of purchasing costumes, venue hire, technician fees, insurances and additional staffing costs for the show weekends.

Dancing Academy tries our very best to keep the cost of our show entries to the absolute minimum so that it is as affordable for everyone as possible. For this reason, we cannot offer any sibling discounts to our show fees.

Paying the deposit will confirm your child's place in the show and terms and conditions will follow in your welcome show letter.

DEPOSITS MUST BE PAID BY JUNE 30TH
THE PREPARATION
Students attendance is so so important in the run up to shows. It can be extremely hard for our teachers to choreograph dances and fit costumes when students are not attending regularly. It is also very difficult for our students to feel confident and really enjoy the experience if they are feeling under rehearsed and we of course want everybody to go out and really have a ball on stage so please do bare this in mind.

As with all of our previous shows, a great deal of hard work goes into the preparation and deliverance. We rely heavily on parent helpers - in fact without you guys, we simply couldn't do it - so in order to be able to put on this event we would like to firstly thank everyone who has already signed up to our helpers list and also ask that if anybody else thinks they might be able to help us to please use the button below to sign up. Examples of some of the things we need help with is general chaperoning, help with costumes, hair and makeup and general supervision whilst moving around the building.

Once we have our list of volunteers, we will be in touch to discuss the plans. We will also be having a few small get together's at the studio in the run up to go through the different area's that we will need help with and also so everybody will know what to expect etc and allocate yourselves to times and jobs that you are happiest with.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR!!
This year we will be handing out costumes to students in the week running up to the show. They will then be your sole responsibility to look after and bring on the show day.

This year we will be offering pre-show workshops to demonstrate basic show hair and stage makeup (make up will be optional for the younger students). We would like as many students as possible to arrive with hair and make up already done on show day.

The government has recently introduced new chaperone and performance licencing laws. In short this means if your child has performed for 3 consecutive days in the past 6 months with another performing arts school, we will need to apply for a licence from the council for them. Please do let us know if is applicable to your child so that we can provide further information to you.
LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!
We would like to thank all of our Dancing Academy parents, carers and students for your continued support. It wouldn't be DA without all. Miss Sam & the DA Team x
