We Speak Cat
Cat Veterinarian in Johnstown
Now Open near I-25 and Hwy 34!
The Cat Doctor provides high quality, feline-focused veterinary care to cat owners in the Northern Colorado region. Dr. Stephanie Buchholtz has a concentrated interest in feline medicine and surgery, bringing her to design The Cat Doctor. Here we offer all of the same advanced veterinary care you have come to expect for your pet, in an environment that puts your cat's comfort as the focus. Just a few of our services include:
- Compassionate Medical Care
- Advanced Surgery
- Full Dentistry Services
- Luxury Cat Boarding Facilities
Our facility is designed with your cat's comfort as our #1 priority. Through the use of pheromones and a comforting facility design, we have created a spa-like atmosphere at our cat hospital. This, and a staff trained in feline-friendly handling techniques ensure your cat's visit to the vet is a calm and comforting one. Gone are the days of hectic, stressful visits to a regular veterinary office that doesn't cater to your cat's needs! Here, we speak cat.
To learn more about our facility and what we bring to the cat community, take a look around our site, or
contact us online. We can't wait to meet you and your feline friend!
Dr. Stephanie Buchholtz grew up in Littleton and spent her summers as a youth on her grandparent's ranch on the western slope so that she could participate in 4-H. She attended CSU where she received her DVM degree in 1993. She practiced general small- and exotic-animal medicine in the Greeley
area for 26 years before deciding to follow her heart and establish a feline-only practice. Her desire to cater to cats started when she became determined to counter the notion that some cats are "mean" when they come to the vet. Frightened cats will often become defensive, but understanding their anxiety and providing an environment designed to keep them calm enables cats to better receive the regular health care they deserve.
Dr. Buchholtz enjoys fly fishing, travel, and photography. She and her husband Brett serve five cats and a one-eyed parrot.
Dr. Buchholtz, Owner/Veterinarian
The Cat Doctor was a major sponsor of the Pet Expo on May 18, 2019.
