Once published, the Cossitt Directory will list the student's name, address, phone number, grade level, teacher and parent(s)' name(s) and address(es), unless a parent requests that information not be released. Be sure to check the appropriate box on the annual publication/permissions form when completing registration.
School Supply Kits Distribution
Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are needed on Monday, August 20 from 10am - noon to help distribute the School Supply kits that were ordered last spring.  We will deliver students' kits to the classrooms. This can be a great way to see the classrooms. Please only bring kids 3rd grade and up who are able to carry the boxes up and down the stairs.  Thank you in advance for signing up!

Bike Safety Rodeo
The Cossitt Bike Rodeo will be held on
Friday, September 7  at 3:15 pm. Volunteers are needed for this event.

The Bike Safety Rodeo is for all 3rd graders who are interested in riding their bikes to school. All 4th, 5th and 6th grade students who have not participated in the Bike Rodeo are also invited. At the Bike Rodeo, each child will register his/her bike with the La Grange Police Department and perform a series of bicycle safety tests. Children wishing to ride their bikes to school need to participate in the Bike Rodeo only once at Cossitt.

Additional information and the permission slip will be sent home in the Friday Folder after school begins.

The Cossitt Clothing Sale has been a very important part of the Cossitt PTC for over 25 years. The Clothing Sale is a large and vital PTC fundraising endeavor which helps to fund many school projects. This sale is important to many of the activities that our kids have grown to love. The PTC funds CCCs, birthday books, LRC support, assemblies, teacher curricular requests, Science Center support, art appreciation, End of the Year Event, Family Fun Night, Halloween and Holiday parties as well as many other items.

In addition to supporting our school, the sale itself also helps the community as we donated 82 bags of clothing items to D102 families in need and 7 charities such as Off the Street Club, Cradles to Crayons and the Northwestern Neonatal ICU.

This event also requires a large number of volunteers. We will send out volunteer information as the school year begins, so please mark your calendar and plan to help out. We cannot run this fundraiser without a large volunteer effort from our Cossitt families.
Questions about the PTC budget? Please email Jennifer Bonniwell at cossittptctreasurer@gmail.com  to receive a copy. The Cossitt PTC budget is also available at all PTC meetings.

Interested in ways the Cossitt PTC has put our fundraising dollars to use in our school? Please take a look at some of the ways our families and community have made a difference!

Sincerely,
The Cossitt PTC
