RAC Family,
Time is not stopping for anyone... are you taking advantage of the opportunities before you? Each and every day presents us with new opportunities, even though they might not always be immediately visible. Sometimes it might be disguised in the form of defeat or misfortune. Other times opportunity is missed because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work…
Everyone looks at life through a particular lens or perspective. Our life experiences play a huge role in how we shape such perspectives, beliefs, and biases. The development of these biases oftentimes operates at the unconscious level. They even actually impact the way we make decisions. Thus, it is important that we reflect on our biases to ensure that they don’t prevent us from seeing the present opportunities.
There are many forms of myopic thinking that prevent us from living in the present moment. The fear of failure, for example, is an all-too-common viewpoint that keeps many of us in the dark. This fear can consume us, paralyze us and keep us stagnant. On the contrary, our past successes or triumphs can hold us back as well. If we are always looking back to a “better” time, we will miss the opportunities right in front of us.
What impediments prevent you from seeing clearly? Do you realize that every barrier can be knocked down? Question your lens. We know it will open you to new perspectives!
See you out on the floor! -BG
