2021 Stewardship
An Act of the Heart
From Pandemic to Post-Pandemic and Beyond
As the new year begins, so does our Cathedral Stewardship year. There will be some familiar elements to accompany the roll-out of the year: mailing of a stewardship letter and form; hearing from committed parishioners at Masses on the January 23/24 weekend; a special stewardship message from Fr. Linebach on January 30/31; and Commitment Sunday the weekend of February 13/14.

What's new? There will be one question we will all be asked to discern on the stewardship form. Living through the pandemic, we have had to rethink so many ordinary parts of our lives, and each of us probably has a real sense of what is essential to build upon. Let us know what is on your heart, your vision, for our parish as we go forward.
Central Louisville Community Ministries Update
CLCM, with your help, served more of our neighbors last year than ever before: 1,123 households, and over $490,000 funneled to rent and utility emergency assistance, prescription assist, and food and personal care items. Besides financial donations, there are 2 important ways you can help in 2021:
1) collect canned food and donate during the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl on Feb 7 - what we call Souper Bowl Sunday. Bring your donations of soup and other canned foods to Calvary Episcopal Church. 9:30-11:30 am, M-Th. Use the side door along the parking lot, 821 S 4th Street.
2) collect and donate personal care items: shampoo, bar soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, razors (men's and women's), deodorant (men's and women's),dish detergent, laundry pods, pads and tampons, toilet paper, facial tissues, lotion.

We also can use plastic shopping bags (Kroger bags), sandwich bags (to put bulk toothbrushes in) and snack bags (for laundry pods).

Items can be dropped off at First Unitarian, 809 S. 4th Street,
M-Th, 9:15 am-1 pm. Just ring the bell and we'll come get them! We are happy to facilitate contactless drop-off. If you need other arrangements, please email Linette at clcmdirector@gmail.com.
We need your perspective on walking and biking in the area!
The KIPDA Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is responsible for transportation planning in the greater Louisville region, including Bullitt, Jefferson, and Oldham counties in Kentucky, and Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana. In the coming weeks, our staff will be developing a new Active Transportation Plan to guide investment in walking and cycling infrastructure. A key step in this planning process is understanding the frustrations, needs, and desires of walkers and cyclists in our community.
That’s where you come in! We are hoping to connect with people who walk or ride to work, to school, or for fun. We would also love to hear from people interested in walking or biking, but who are nervous or have concerns.

Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey found at the link below:

Please also help us spread the word by sharing this link with your friends, associates, mailing lists, like-minded organizations, or anyone with an interest in walking and biking in our community.
This survey will be open until February 9th. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to Elizabeth Farc, Transportation Planner, at:
