Here's What's Happening at The ITeam

With summer winding down (what, already?!), as everyone returns from their vacations, and the children go back to school, The ITeam is getting ready for another busy Autumn.

Client Engagement and fostering relationships with our customers is something that is always at the forefront of our business minds. Over the summer we rolled out a new Customer Satisfaction platform to gauge our performance and, more importantly, hear from you, our Clients, in more detail about how we are doing. As you find yourselves reaching out to our technical team for assistance, you will receive email notifications letting you know when your Service Request tickets have been closed. At the bottom of that email you will find a very brief survey with a series of facial expressions to select from.

We always strive to provide our Clients with the absolute best level of service possible, so if we have succeeded please let us know! Likewise, if we have somehow managed to miss the mark and did not fulfill your expectations, we want to hear that too. Please take a brief moment to select the appropriate facial expression when you receive that email to let us know how we did - we want to hear from you!

In the meantime, we will continue working for you and striving for excellence. We look forward to continuing to serve you, our Clients, with the top notch IT Managed Services that The ITeam is known for.

What is missing that prevents follow-through on these fundamental IT tasks? There is a substantial gap between when a patch is available and when that patch is applied, which is a common enough problem that even Equifax suffered the consequences.

Patching is a losing battle.

used with permission from FTC.gov
by Colleen Tressler

With the summer travel season in high gear, the FTC is warning drivers about skimming scams at the pump.

Skimmers are illegal card readers attached to payment terminals. These card readers grab data off a credit or debit card's magnetic stripe without your knowledge. Criminals sell the stolen data or use it to buy things online. You won't know your information has been stolen until you get your statement or an overdraft notice.

Here are a few tips to help you avoid a skimmer when you gas up:
