Jeffrey Gibson: Like a Hammer—the first major museum exhibition of the artist’s work—will chronicle a pivotal moment in Gibson’s career when his contemporary artistic practice converged with his Native American heritage. About 65 objects created from 2011 to the present will be featured including figurative works, text-based wall hangings, a significant selection of beaded punching bags, painted works on rawhide and canvas, and video.
The exhibition will show how Gibson draws upon his heritage and remixes his older works to create a visual vocabulary that explores his multi-faceted identity and the history of modernism. Gibson’s abstract works take inspiration from his Choctaw and Cherokee heritage, pan-Native American visual culture, alternative subcultures, and the artist’s experiences living abroad as well as popular culture. Striking patterned and textured works will incorporate text from poems, Gibson’s own voice, and song lyrics such as Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke.”

For Anna, it all started in a closet. At about 8 years old, rummaging around her parents' closet, Anna came across a guitar case her father had tucked away. Finders keepers, as they say, and she began teaching herself to play on that guitar twice her age and much too big for her hands. About the time Anna grew into that guitar, she was Wyoming bound for an internship during her Junior summer at Texas A&M University. The rugged landscape and rich history brought forth songs of wanderlust, cowboys, and livin' to a Country sound with a touch of Folk and Americana feels.

The Jazz Trumpet Consortium grew from my love of the music and the story of the late, great trumpeter Clifford Brown. I always thought it would be a wonderful thing to intensely study his music, his history and the art of jazz trumpet performance with highly regarded players, IN his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, surrounded by the neighborhood and traditions under which he learned. I finally did so, for four days in June of 2015! The faculty included guest trumpeters Terell Stafford, Greg Gisbert, Brad Goode and myself, his son Clifford Brown, Jr., “Brownie Speaks” filmmaker Don Glanden and historian Kenyon Camper, among others. It was such a success that I decided to continue the premise in Denver in 2016 with guest artist Bobby Shew and faculty members Greg Gisbert, Gabe Mervine, Pete Olstad, Brad Goode and myself. The goal now is to gather like-minded individuals and unite to learn as much as possible about the art of jazz and trumpet performance in an intense several day period, including many performance opportunities, a pro recording session and hours of camaraderie! The tradition continues in 2018 in Boulder, Colorado with Greg Gisbert, Brad Goode, myself and dynamic jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis! Our long term goal is to have this consortium on a regular basis, in different locales, allowing countless aspiring jazz trumpeters to access the knowledge and experience gained from these amazing gatherings! – Alan Hood, founder

We play joyful jazz — music that feels good. It is a style that entertains, enriches, but most of all uplifts.

River North Art District (RiNo)

GUIDED PRIVATE TOURS
ASPIRE TOURS' DENVER RINO CRAFT BREWERY TOUR
In no other neighborhood is the Denver craft beer culture more visible than in the
River North Art District (RiNo)
. Located just north of downtown, RiNo has transformed from an industrial landscape into one of the hippest spots in Denver, featuring art galleries, innovative businesses and a variety of craft breweries.
Aspire Tours
highlights a few of the microbreweries that stand out for innovation, quality and their unique perspective on craft beer, including
Epic Brewing Company
and
Black Shirt Brewing Co
.
Rock Bottom Brewery
Today,
Rock Bottom Brewery
is a major chain with more than 30 breweries that produce 700 different craft beers that have won over 125 medals. But their brewery in Denver is the "mother ship," the first brewery of the chain when it opened in 1990. Rock Bottom has one of the best locations on the 16th Street Mall, Denver's mile-long pedestrian promenade. There are 41 outdoor patios along the Mall, but the one at Rock Bottom is the largest and one of the most popular. On summer weekends, bands play and hundreds of people gather to sip craft beer on the patio under twinkling lights, as horse-drawn carriages clatter by. The interior of the massive bar is built around towering glass windows displaying the brewing equipment. It can be noisy, crowded and fun, as the bar brings in an attractive crowd of young downtown office workers. For a quieter experience, head to the back bar, which has pool tables and a staff that's both knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer. Rock Bottom features the standard IPAs, Red Ale, White Ale, Dark Ale and a Winter Tartan Ale, as well as the always popular Molly's Titanic Brown Ale. The brewmaster at each pub creates specials, so check what's on the current beer list, and especially look for the hand-pulled cask-conditioned ales in the back room.

Denver Beer Company
Denver Beer Company
is one of the city's favorite tap rooms — a place that really captures the laid-back feeling of The Mile High City. Located in a former auto garage, on warm days the "walls" of the pub literally roll up, making the whole building open air. There's an outdoor patio with picnic tables next to a space where different food trucks park every day.
Ale House at Amato's
After crossing the bridge, you've entered LoHi, one of Denver's hippest and fastest-growing neighborhoods.
Ale House at Amato's
is a great introduction to this section of town. Although no beer is brewed here, the restaurant is owned jointly by Wynkoop and Breckenridge breweries and features 40-plus craft beers on tap, including several rare and hard-to-find Colorado microbrews. The staff is beer savvy and will work with you to find the perfect selection, whether it's light, hoppy, malty or complex (and your beer, of course, will be poured into the appropriate style of glass). The entire roof of the bar is an open-air beer garden with outdoor fireplaces and sweeping views of Downtown Denver. It's especially pretty at twilight when the sun sets over the visible Rocky Mountains to the west.
Prost Brewing
As you would suspect, with a name like
Prost
, this brewery specializes in traditional German beers, and they do everything traditionally, from serving the beer in appropriate German beer glasses to making it in authentic 72.5-barrel copper kettles from Germany. The kettles were made in 1963 and used until a few years ago by a 350-year-old brewery in Germany. When that brewery went out of business, the kettles were purchased and lovingly shipped to Denver, where they continue to make Weißbier (a Bavarian Hefeweizen), Altfränkisches Dunkel Bier (a dark amber lager) and Marzen (an Oktoberfest brew). The flagship beer is Prost Pils, a crisp, pale and well-hopped, gold-colored brew capped with a dense white collar of foam. It's served in a tapered glass with a gold rim that will have you crying, "Prost!" The Prost beer hall is decorated with authentic antique German beer signs and blue-and-white-check Oktoberfest bunting and is filled with long communal tables. Have a liter of beer, bite into an authentic German pretzel and meet new friends in this LoHi neighborhood tap room.
Avanti F & B
If all this walking has worked up an appetite, end your night with dinner (and another beer) at
Avanti F & B
, one of Denver's most popular new spots for foodies. Inspired by European markets and food-truck roundups, Avanti bills itself as a modern-day food hall, offering up seven different restaurant concepts under one roof. Grab a mushroom pizza at Brava! Pizzeria, a noodle bowl from MiJo or a chicken meatball torta at Poco Torteria. There are also two large bars — one upstairs and one downstairs — with twenty draft beers on tap, many from local breweries like Prost Brewing, Platt Park Brewing, Crooked Stave and Ratio Beerworks.
Breckenridge Brewery
Take a tour of the bucolic new
Breckenridge Brewery
facility in
Littleton
. You'll walk through the whole brewing process and see from start to finish how Breck Brew gets the beer to your bottle. Everything from the 100-barrel brewhouse, to the fermentation hall, to the bottling line...and all with a complimentary beer in your hand! You'll taste and talk about the company's different beers and how they're made. Tours cost $3 and begin and end in the tasting room. We recommend grabbing a meal at the excellent
Farm House Restaurant
while you're there.
New Belgium Brewing Company
New Belgium Brewing Company
in Fort Collins
is one of Colorado's first microbrewery success stories. Since its founding in 1991, New Belgium — best known for its iconic Fat Tire Amber Ale — has grown into one of the biggest microbreweries in the world, producing more than 400,000 barrels of beer annually.
Avery Brewing Company
One of Boulder's most beloved brewers,
Avery Brewing Company
is rapidly making headway on the national beer scene. Last year the company moved into a new $27 million "dream brewery" in north Boulder, upping both their brewing capacity and tap room seating.
Boulder Beer Company
Boulder Beer Company, Colorado's first craft brewery, is beloved by beer connoisseurs for its Hazed Hoppy Session Ale and by environmentalists for its eco-friendly ethos.
Visit the home of Budweiser at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Fort Collins and discover how the "King of Beers" crafts its world-famous brews.
Upslope Brewing Company
Boulder's Upslope Brewing taps into Colorado's active lifestyle by offering superior-quality handcrafted ales in cans for the on-the-go beer enthusiast. The brewery has won raves for its IPA and Brown Ale, but we also love their creative limited-release brews, like the Blood Orange Saison and the Thai Style White IPA.
Tour Info: Upslope offers tours at both locations. Flatiron Park Tap Room: Thurs., Sat. and Sun. at 3 p.m., Lee Hill Tap Room: Fri. and Sat. at 4 p.m.
Oskar Blues Brewery
Oskar Blues kicked off the canned craft beer revolution in 2002 with their Dale's Pale Ale. Why cans instead of bottles? For one thing, cans keep beer fresh by protecting it from light and oxygen. Drop into either the brewery's Homemade Liquids and Solids restaurant/brewery/music venue (home of the aforementioned oversized beer can) or the nearby Tasty Weasel brewing facility for a Dale's or an Old Chub Scotch Ale.
Tour Info: The Tasty Weasel offers free tours Mon.–Fri. at 4 p.m. and Sat.–Sun. at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Left Hand Brewing CO.
Located on the banks of Longmont's St. Vrain River, the patio is perfect for relaxation and beer appreciation. Since its founding in 1993, Left Hand's brews, including its iconic Milk Stout and Sawtooth Ale, have wowed beer connoisseurs, racking up dozens of medals at events like the Great American Beer Festival, the United States Beer Tasting Championships, the Brussels Beer Challenge, the World Beer Cup, the International Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival and more.
dweiser Clydesdales and sample a cold one in the Hospitality Room.
With more than 25 years of brewing experience under its belt, Odell brews everything from handcrafted classics to small-batch beers that please even the snootiest of beer snobs. Be sure to try Odell's 90 Shilling Ale and the Cutthroat Porter, then sample from a rotating line of experimental brews, many of which are available exclusively in the Tap Room.
Tour Info: D
aily at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tours last about 30 minutes and can be reserved in advance.
Fort Collins Brewery
Just steps from the Cache Le Poudre River, Fort Collins Brewery turns out favorites like Far Away IPA, Major Tom's Pomegranate Wheat and Shot Down Chocolate Stout. This local gem isn't quite as big as Odell and New Belgium — not yet anyway!

Death of A Nation
PG-13 | 1 hr 49 min | Documentary
Not since 1860 have the Democrats so fanatically refused to accept the result of a free election. That year, their target was Lincoln. They smeared him. They went to war to defeat him. In the end, they assassinated him. Now the target of the Democrats is President Trump and his supporters. The Left calls them racists, white supremacists and fascists. These charges are used to justify driving Trump from office and discrediting the right "by any means necessary." But which is the party of the slave plantation? Which is the party that invented white supremacy? Which is the party that praised fascist dictators and shaped their genocidal policies and was in turn praised by them? Which is the party of racism today? Is fascism now institutionally embodied on the right or on the left? Through stunning historical recreations and a searching examination of fascism and white supremacy, Death of a Nation cuts through progressive big lies to expose hidden history and explosive truths.

In it, you’ll learn ways to make your job easier and increase the sophistication of your data reporting and analyzing. Each session focuses on saving-you-time techniques, advanced “how-to’s,” exploring those previously “programmer only” features and more. Along with this practical and usable training, you’ll learn how to integrate your work within the Office “family” for even greater results. A 2 Day “Hands-On” Training Course Designed to take the mystery out of working with Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLCs )
Purpose of Seminar:
The purpose of this seminar is to translate the seemingly complex world of automation and Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLCs ) into practical lessons the average maintenance person can understand. By combining information from thousands of pages of manufacturers' technical manuals (Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Omron, Modicon, Mitsubishi, Honeywell …), with twenty years of experience and a practical real world philosophy to present simple, clear, and concise solutions to your everyday PLC problems.
This course is perfect for multi-craft maintenance technicians, electricians, or other non-programmers who need a general understanding of PLCs. The real world, practical knowledge presented in this course along with the “hands-on” training is immediately applied by our attendees in their workplaces. Now, that's "Real World" Training!
Who should take this course?
This course is created specifically for maintenance personnel and electricians working in industrial plants, public facilities, and commercial buildings. Our PLCs for Non-Programmer courses are filled with people from many different industries, skill levels, company sizes, and job titles. Gain the confidence you need to modify and create your own PLC programs
Purpose of Seminar:
The purpose of this seminar is to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), especially programming and useful applications. The results of this training include reducing the costs of outsourcing PLC programming, minimizing downtime, improving quality in manufacturing, and increasing efficiency as a result of accurate PLC programming. The real world, practical knowledge presented in this course along with the “hands-on” training is immediately applied by our attendees in their workplaces. Upon completion of this seminar, students will be comfortable when programming PLCs and will have the confidence to edit or create new PLC solutions on their own. Now, that's "Real World" Training!
Who should take this course?
Do you have a basic understanding of PLCs and need to be able to modify or write PLC prorams? If so then you will find this seminar beneficial, along with maintenance technicians, electricians, or engineers who work with PLC controlled equipment. Since programming logic is the same but there are multiple manufacturers of PLCs, this course does not limit itself to a specific PLC manufacturer. It is designed instead to accommodate all of the most popular software platforms in use today. As a result, students will find this course extremely valuable regardless of the PLCs they may have back at their facility, and it is especially beneficial for those who run into more than one type of PLC when performing their jobs. People attending this course should already have attended our prerequisite course “PLCs for Non-Programmers” or have a basic understanding of PLCs and a working knowledge of electrical controls and principles.
Our PLC Programming and Applications courses are filled with people from many different industries, skill levels, company sizes, and job titles. You only need to have an interest in programming PLCs to benefit from this course! Our past attendees for this course include maintenance personnel in…

Learn how to interact, communicate and collaborate successfully with all types of people
Boost your emotional intelligence … enhance your workplace relationships … and turbo-charge your career!
There's a lot of buzz centered around emotional intelligence in the workplace right now, and with good reason. Cutting-edge research into emotional intelligence has shown that it plays a critical role in higher productivity, performance, and job satisfaction. People who have a high level of emotional intelligence are more confident, more capable, and earn greater respect from their colleagues. They are also better able to stay calm, flexible, and focused when workplace crises hit and panic threatens to set in.
What exactly is "emotional intelligence"?
Quite simply, emotional intelligence is a set of competencies that enhance your ability to relate positively to others in the workplace. People with high emotional intelligence are adept at using empathy and constructive communication to create a collaborative, cooperative work environment. They naturally relate well to others; are able to accomplish more through encouragement and persuasion; and excel at inspiring, guiding, and leading others to achieve their best work. As performers, they tend to be flexible, adaptive, self-motivated, and confident.
If you're looking for a way to improve your relationships across your organization, understand how and why others behave the way they do, and achieve greater success in all your job-related endeavors, this seminar is one you don't want to miss.
Unlike your IQ, which is set by the time you are a teenager, your emotional intelligence (EQ) can be improved upon throughout your lifetime. When you attend Developing Emotional Intelligence, you'll gain the knowledge and skills you need to transform the way you interact with and respond to others.

Join us for a virtual two-hour LOVE ATTRACTION Masterclass designed to (finally) manifest the love of your life to you! (Note: This is a recorded workshop chock-full with valuable coaching instruction, exercises and homework designed to get you to release your blocks and manifest your love. When you purchase this amazing class, you can watch immediately and as many times as you need to solidify the teachings! Instructions to watch will be sent via email after you sign up. All you need is your computer/phone/tablet and a great internet connection!) Learn the simple 4 step process designed to Attract in the Love of Your Life in as little as 8 weeks! Step 1: PREPARE YOURSELF TO ATTRACT A GREAT LOVE - Unravel the true desires of your heart and no longer be ashamed of what YOU really want to have, be and accomplish in life! - Design a road map to Happily Ever After that takes into consideration the unique needs and desires that you have. No longer be ashamed to admit what YOU really want. - Get crystal clear in what you want in a partner so you can attract in a match who is 100% of what you want! Not 80%. Not 90%. But 100% in alignment with the real you! Step 2: RELEASE OLD PATTERNS AND DEVELOP A PROCESS TO ALIGN WITH A HIGH-QUALITY MATCH - You'll learn how to STEP INTO YOUR POWER and let go of past excuses that have held you back from being who you really are and having what you really want (love) - Heal past traumas from prior relationships including your parents and past lovers so that your heart is open and available for love Step 3: MASTER THE ATTRACTION PROCESS -Boost your self-confidence and love the dating process which will increase the amount of dates you get and quality of dates (no more men just wanting that ‘one thing’ or ghosting you) - The 'F' word - learn the power of forgiveness...which (spoiler alert!) is 100% necessary to happen before you can actually be with your soulmate Step 4: GET READY TO MANIFEST YOUR LOVE - Uncover the magic of the universe and learn how to REALLY manifest the desires of your heart instead of being disappointed...again - Understand the Law of Attraction (whatever you put out, you get back in return) and how to harness its power to attract to you the perfect match for you - Get excited about (and create!) a wonderful new life that you don't even recognize filled with love, support and joy! It's no secret that my techniques work. Just see what past clients have to say: "It took us less than 24 hours to realize we had been calling each other in - we were 100% of what we had been manifesting the past year and more intensely leading up to the end.Fast forward 7 weeks we have not left each other once!!

In this musical comedy based off the film of the same name, six down-on-their-luck steel workers create their own strip-tease act after seeing their wives enthusiasm for a group of Chippendale’s, and end up reclaiming their lives in the process. This show is for mature audiences only.
Despite losing their jobs, despite struggling to maintain relationships with their wives and children, the boys have a shining bit of optimism that manages to shine through their dreary circumstances. In songs like the hilariously dark “Big Ass Rock,” or the moving “Breeze off the River,” the journey to going “the full monty” is full of absurdist gallows humor and a whole lot of heart.

“Into the woods--you have to grope,
But that's the way you learn to cope.
Into the woods to find there's hope
Of getting through the journey.”
We think we know how the fairy tales go: Little Red Riding Hood. Cinderella. Rapunzel. Jack and the Beanstalk. Think again.
As a childless baker and his wife try to start a family, they discover a host of fairy tale characters seeking the fulfillment of their own wishes and dreams. Princes and princesses trying to find love; a witch trying to reclaim youth and beauty; and families trying to put food on the table. As they venture deeper into the woods, they discover the realities of life, as well as its consequences.

We spoke out against racism, hunger, gangs, crimes, and turf wars, as we embraced all people with hope and the spirit of brotherhood. It's just as apropos today" WAR, the original street band, was brought together by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein rock legend Eric Burdon.

Maybe you know someone who stopped smoking easily. They didn't struggle or fail, they just threw away the pack and never looked back. And when you ask them how they did it, they almost always say "I just made up my mind." You can stop just that easily, immediately and permanently yourself. You don't need pills, patches, gum, supplements or audio recordings. All you need is the right information, the right motivation and the right attitude. All you have to change is your mind. Tobacco / Cannabis expert, psychotherapist, NLP Master Trainer, Clinical Hypnotherapist (and former 30-year smoker) Frank Oden has worked with thousands of smokers, chewers, vapers and other nicotine and THC users since 2005 in his full-time Cherry Creek practice and over 100 HypNoSmoke seminars across the Denver area and the Colorado Front Range. Oden's process is built around interactive NLP, auto-suggestion training, mental performance coaching and subliminal hypnotic techniques used throughout the entire presentation. The event is motivational, educational, entertaining and 100% focused on immediate outcome – there are no retail products or additional services sold, promoted or necessary. "The basic tools and methods that I teach rely on simple, common sense mental skills possessed by nearly every person. It costs you nothing to apply such techniques in your own mind, in your own life -- in fact, most of these "mental hacks" have been in common use by humans for over 2000 years!” -- Frank Oden Seminar Topics Include: -- Principles of effective life-span decision making. -- Proper techniques for self-directed behavior change. -- Choosing the right motivational approach. -- The antidote to Instant Gratification. -- Why "willpower" is counterproductive, and what to use instead. -- How some people stop easily while others continue to struggle. -- Understanding triggers and how to conquer (not avoid!) them. -- The anatomy of "Craving" and how to ignore it. -- Turning self-doubt (learned helplessness) into self-confidence (positive expectation). You'll learn how to take control of your own attitudes and behaviors, how to beat any physical or mental dependence, how to banish cravings and prevent relapse, and how to capture and retain the most important factor in any success, the power of positive attitude. The evening concludes with a free and optional guided meditation (hypnotic relaxation) for reinforcement. HypNoSmoke is a 100% drug-free approach to stopping all forms of nicotine or THC. Many clients have used the process to stop vaping, e-cig use and/or chewing nicotine gum. The process is equally effective for immediate cessation and complete abstinence of Cannabis/THC.

We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and spectators that are interested in enjoying the great outdoors and the great craft beer that Colorado has to offer. All of our participants complete a 5k course nearby each brewery. Afterwards, everyone hangs out, drinks beer, and enjoys local, live music!

The first leg of the Tri is always the swim. A standard format for triathlons, athlete enter the water first for safety reasons. Entering the water when you are the most strong and have not needed to recoup from any other athletic exertion. Safety first = water first. The swim portion is 750 meters, which is 1/2 mile.
Being an all-female Sprint Distance Tri - we are made of the most compassionate and caring gang of ladies you will ever meet! While still competitive, a majority of our athletes are truly racing the clock or against themselves. But, in the traditional Tri world, the bike portion comes next for safety; athletes are semi-fresh and not near the peak of their endurance. The bike portion is 20 km, which is about 12.4 miles.
Or walk. The last leg of the triathlon is the run because it is where you get your moment of glory. Sprint to the finish line, ham for the cam, wave to our pit crew. And, should you need us, our pit crew can reach you easily. Finally, it is easier to put a medal around the neck of a runner than a biker! The run/walk portion is 5k, which is 3.1 miles.
