YOUTH SUNDAY

Playlist: "Building Relationships on God" by Rebecca Sardina
Scripture: Matthew 7: 24-27 (CEB)

Rebecca Sardina will be a sophomore at Freedom High School this fall. She has been involved with Peace Youth for about a year now and has grown in faith during that time. This Sunday, she will wrap up our "Playlist" series by talking a bit about why the song "Build My Life" by Housefires is important to her, as it was a theme-song for her in middle school years and got her through some pretty tough situations. She understands, like many of our other "Playlist" speakers, how important music can be in our daily lives and how it shapes the people that we become.
You Are Invited to a Night of Music - August 5
Our summer worship series called "Playlist" will culminate with a special evening event on Sunday, August 5th .  We'll be hosting a night of music, with a diverse and exciting line up of artists, including some of our own congregation members!  There will be food trucks, bounce houses, and lots of great live music happening both inside and outside of the church. Invite your friends, family and neighbors, as this will be an event geared towards our whole community.  So join us for a 'Night of Music' as we finish our month-long celebration of special songs in our lives on Sunday, August 5th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Summer Back to School Blessing Drive
- Deadline August 5
Throughout the month of July, we are committing to collect 200 backpacks to be distributed to families in need at our partner school John Young Elementary School, as well as additional public schools in our local area. Whether you find yourself in the next month doing some back-to-school shopping, or if those days are long over for you and you miss the joy of picking up a new backpack for a child, include the purchase of one or two backpacks in your travels over the next month.  You can drop them off in the bins located in the hallway.  We'll also be setting up a small "store" for families in need in order to shop for school supplies at a very discounted rate. So feel free to donate a gift card or two, or make a monetary donation for school supplies, and support our effort to help be a blessing to others when they head back to school in August.  The deadline for the collection will be Sunday, August 5th.
New Griefshare Class Starting - August 9
