n the next decade, cybersecurity jobs are projected to grow faster than other occupations, according to the US Department of Labor Statistics. This fall, Bucks County Community College will offer a new associate degree to address the demand for more information security specialists. The cyber-security major prepares students to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. With the number of cyberattacks on the rise, IT analysts must stay up to date by learning new security procedures and processes to ensure seamless operations and prevent data theft. Students in the program will be trained to monitor and prevent network and computer breaches through security enhancements and develop security standards and best practices for their organization.
Bright Horizons, a preschool provider which employs thousands of teachers throughout the nation, is allowing employees to earn an associate degree in early childhood education through a partnership with
Northampton Community College. The program removes many economic barriers that prevent students from completing post-secondary education by covering the costs of tuition, fees, and books. To qualify for the free online program, teachers must be full-time employees and remain with the company for at least 18 months upon completion of the degree.
Research notes the most critical time of a child's learning development occurs within the first five years of life. By offering this new degree, the company is improving the quality of early childhood education delivery at its preschool and learning centers.

The peer-based learning program features informative sessions aimed to improve visibility with marketing and social media strategies. In addition, students become familiar with compliance issues regarding insurance and taxes, alongside financial accountability using bookkeeping and accounting software. A recent graduate of CCP's small business accelerator was featured on a Netflix reality show to highlight her cake decorating skills. She credits the Power Up program in providing her the tools to advance her career and help her become a more effective business owner.
