Why Employee Engagement Surveys are Still Important
What is the best way to learn how your workforce feels about life at work? Ask them. Conducting regular workplace surveys lets your employees know you care what they think. Responding to their expressed concerns builds trust. Find out why tech giant Facebook still conducts employee surveys, even in an age when they have access to many, and perhaps more sophisticated, forms of people analytics.

Conducting employee surveys can provide many benefits for both employees and the company. Facebook has found surveys to predict behavior, more accurately than machine-learning forecasts.

Surveys allow employees to have their voices heard. Facebook found employees will take advantage of the opportunity to express their opinions, even if their idea is not implemented.  Surveys also have the potential to change the employee's own behavior.

Surveys are an important tool that companies can utilize to learn what matters to its  employees. Read more.
EEO-1 Report 2019 Deadline
For those employers who may be used to the prior EEO-1 reporting deadline in September, you may rest easy as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has set a new deadline of March 31st of each year to report data from one pay period in the last quarter of the year (i.e. October, November, or December). Therefore, your 2018 data from a pay period in October, November, or December of this year will be due on March 31, 2019, unless the EEOC pushes back the deadline.

If you are unsure of whether you are an employer that is obligated to participate, here's a snapshot:

A) I'm a private employer with 100 or more employees.

OR

B) I'm a federal contractor or first-tier subcontractor with 50 or more employees and have contractors with a minimum of $50K.
