Far From the Tree is a beautiful exploration of what it means to be family, told from the perspective of three teens who find each
other and seek the story of the woman who gave them up. In Gabi, a Girl in Pieces, Gabi Hernandez chronicles her last year in high school in her diary - the mundane, the difficult, and best of all, the poetry that helps forge her identity.

Did you make it to our pop-up shop at Harry Potter's Birthday at W. Wolfskill? If so, you probably saw the Harry Potter games we have available here at Cellar Door. And if you didn't snag one for yourself, you're in luck! We're extending the magic to our next game night, themed after Harry Potter. Get the chance to play Trivial Pursuit: World of Harry Potter Ultimate Edition and try it out for yourself!

We only have room for so many players, so please RSVP to reserve your spot as a Trivial Pursuit player. There's no need to RSVP if you'd like to play other games instead - just come join the fun!

Spoken Word Open Mic with Rudy Francisco

Join us for an open mic night featuring spoken word poet Rudy Francisco, author of the debut collection, Helium, whose work has defined poetry for a generation of new readers.

Rudy will be performing his poetry alongside other poets. Anyone is welcome to come and read from their work as well!

Experiencing Comics Release Party

We are excited to celebrate the release of local author and educator Rachelle Cruz's Experiencing Comics: An Introduction to Reading, Discussing, and Creating Comics, which shows readers how to critically examine the craft and storytelling elements found inside a graphic novel or comic.

Cruz will be joined by graphic novelists Yumi Sakugawa (There is No Right Way to Meditate, I Choose You), MariNaomi (Turning Japanese), Taneka Stotts (Elements), and Nilah Magruder (MFK).
