The City of Largo is working on a Special Area Plan (SAP), a planning tool the City will utilize to effectively coordinate land use and development within the area centered at the intersection of two primary corridors (US 19 and Roosevelt Boulevard/East Bay Drive). This plan intends to create an attractive, sustainable and economically vibrant urban destination that incorporates a higher degree of mixed uses, density and accessibility to multiple modes of transportation.

West Bay Drive Redevelopment District Incentives
Incentives have been renewed for the Sign Replacement Grant, and for the Housing Infill Program. Largo is pleased to offer a new grant for Accessory Dwelling Units, also known as "in-law suits" or "granny flats."
Construction continues on the Gateway Expressway, which will provide express connection from US 19 to I-275 and from the Bayside Bridge to I-275. The project widens I-275 to create express tolled lanes in each direction from south of Gandy Blvd to 4th St N.
