IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING
HURRICANE FLORENCE PREPARATIONS

The Town of Wrightsville Beach will continue to keep you updated as information is available regarding Hurricane Florence preparations.  Please make note of the following:

1) Please turn off all non-essential water (i.e. pier and irrigation meters).

2) All public restrooms will be closed as of 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018.

3) Sand is now available for residents and property owners of Wrightsville Beach.  The sand is located in the parking lot in front of the former fire department on Seawater Lane adjacent to Town Hall.  You must supply your own sand bags which are available for purchase at many local hardware stores.

4) Residential and commercial trash pick-up will cease at the close of business on Wednesday, September 12th.  Please secure all dumpsters and store all trash carts appropriately.

5) Requests for pick up of brush, bulky items, appliances, etc. are no longer being accepted.

6)  Sales of vehicle tax decals at the Lanier Parking office will cease on Tuesday, September 11th at 5:00 p.m.  Vehicle tax decals also serve as identification for re-entry onto Wrightsville Beach in the event of a mandatory hurricane evacuation.   The decals are $30 each.   Please bring a valid driver's license with your Wrightsville Beach address.  If your Wrightsville Beach address is not on your driver's license, please bring another piece of documentation with your name and Wrightsville Beach address such as a water bill.  If you need more than two decals, please bring the registration for each vehicle.  Call the Lanier Parking office for further information at 910--256-5453.

7)  Businesses, Marinas, Boat Owners, Contractors, Property Managers, and Caretakers: Hurricane re-entry passes are issued by the Wrightsville Beach Police Department and are available for pick up at the front desk of the Police Department, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Applicants must bring a valid driver's license or ID card, and proof of relationship to the business, marina, or property in which you are associated.
