SENSR to Partner with Southern Methodist University on Bridge Technology
Earlier this month, the SENSR team met with representatives of Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Bridge Engineers of Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) at one of their swing bridges in South Texas.
Currently a swing bridge; this structure will be replaced with a modern vertical lift bridge to increase the functionality for navigational purposes.
Taking in consideration the vital route the structure is on, the traffic flow cannot be disrupted by on-going construction. We will be deploying a monitoring system that combines hardware and software designed to provide user friendly reports to the project team.
In addition to our current product offerings that will be deployed, SENSR will also be deploying prototypes of our newest technology developed through a partnership between SENSR and SMU in cooperation with UPRR.
