New Library Leadership
Ross LaGenèse has joined the Wellington Public Library as the new director in early December of 2020. He is a native of Fort Collins and has resided in Wellington for four years raising his two children, one in middle school and one preparing to start her university experience. Ross comes from a background in Middle Level education as a Language Arts and Social Sciences educator and an enormous passion for literacy of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to being an educator, he has experience in the corporate arena and eastern based mind/body health and wellness coaching.

His introduction to the Wellington Public Library began as a volunteer in the library and grew to the eventual and current position of library director. Ross is adamant about innovation, access for all, and democratically representing the changing population of Wellington and the growth that is occurring by being mindful of each resident of Wellington, both long standing and new. It is an exciting time in Wellington and Ross is excited for what the future holds for the Town of Wellington, Colorado.
