Weaver Kids Korner will be open on October 1st-5th for all Weaver students TK-5th grade who need daycare during fall break. It's $46.00 per day and lots of fun activities are planned. Stop by Room 31, Kids Korner's main room to pick up the paperwork.
It's due by 9/24/18.
No School on Friday, September 28th. Enjoy the extra day to your fall break.
Cleaning Out Your Closets? Our health clerk Ms. Zayd is in need of pants or shorts that have an elastic waist band sizes 5, 6, 7, and 8 for boys & girls. Our supply of clothes has gotten low and we could use them for students needing replacement bottoms during the school the day. Drop them off in her office anytime.

Thank you for your hard work. Our Summer Box Tops totaled to $500.00. Awesome job cutting and collecting! Our goal this year is $1000.00 or more.
These funds help our school with new resources and help our children grow in their educational experience.

Weaver's Annual Jog-A-Thon!
Turn in your pledges by this Thursday 9/27 so they will count towards our fundraising goals and earn prizes! For a Pledge Packet - Click HERE
Jog-A-Thon is HERE THIS THURSDAY
September 27, 2018 from 10:50-12:50pm!
We will need volunteers to help warm up the kids, cheer them on, cool them off with water toys and hand out popsicles. Please plan to join us that day to support our runners and our school.
Also we will be sorting the Tshirts for distribution to classes this Wednesday 9/26 at 8:15am in the old music room - please join us if you have half an hour or hour to spare! Thank you to all volunteers for your help!
OUR GOALS:
- So far, we have 491 students registered, almost 70% of our school - we are almost at our goal of 75% participation!!
- It's official - Your kids have raised over $59,000 so far for the Jog-A-Thon - Dr. B will be getting a PIE IN HIS FACE and will DRESS UP AS DUMBLEDORE at Carnival on Nov. 2nd! Let's get it all!! $60,000 and Dr. B will dress up in a chicken costume and dance the FUNKY CHICKEN!
Prizes for requesting donations and raising money!
- ALL participating students will receive a FREE Jog-A-Thon T-shirt!
- The Grade level with the highest percentage participation will have their choice of HOGWARTS SCHOOL COLORS unveiled at a special flag ceremony before Carnival!
Individual Prizes:
- $25 raised earns you a Weaver Silly Putty!
- $50 raised earns the above plus a free ticket to a Skatedogs Stunt Show at Weaver!
- $125 raised earns the above plus a Weaver Light-up Bubble Blower!
- $250 or more raised earns the above plus a Pizza Party with Dr. B at lunchtime!

REFLECTIONS
Reflections
is a national PTA Arts Recognition program that encourages students to express themselves artistically based on a common theme. This 2018-2019 school year is the 50th Anniversary of Reflections! To celebrate this milestone the theme is "HEROES AROUND ME."
REFLECT on the theme. CREATE art. BE RECOGNIZED!
K through 5th
grade students are encouraged to submit original works of art based on the theme in one or more of these categories:
Dance choreography
Film production
Literature
Musical composition PhotographyVisual Arts

All art entries are DUE to the Weaver office by OCTOBER 12, 2018.

Mr. Mike
Mike Stearns, our afternoon custodian, proudly wears his Weaver tee, as he accepts first place Division Awards in the Culinary Arts at the 2018 Orange County Fair.
This is a repeat performance for Mr. Mike as he took home first place last year for his amazing jerky.
Congratulations Mr. Mike! Weaver whales are successful far and wide!
