Men's Birth Expectations Examined
The newest family profile draws from the 2011-2015 cycles of the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) to highlight the childbearing expectations of men aged 15-44. We found that the majority (81%) of childless men expected to have a child in the future, and nearly 60% of all men, regardless of their current number of children, expected to have a child in the future. Men's Birth Expectations (FP-18-12) helps further our understanding of men's childbearing expectations  by current number of children, race and ethnicity, and age.
