Superintendent's Message
A Message from Superintendent Layton
What a great homecoming parade! I enjoyed watching all of our students representing their schools and the community support was wonderful.

I would like to thank the MES Principal and the “Gang of 3" for riding with me.

Our Firemen and Police Officers did a tremendous job helping with the parade and making sure all went smoothly.

Speaking of security, what a great job our District Officers do as well. A big thanks for working all the events and keeping us safe.

I wanted to congratulate all the new members of the Malakoff Alumni Association Hall of Fame Inductees. What a great honor, and we thank you for being a part of the Tiger Nation!

We have football, volleyball, and cross country on the schedule next week so come support our students.

Our Tiger Troupe will be preforming "Grease" this week. Make plans to come see a show!

It has been a busy school year so I hope staff and students enjoy a break on the 14th!

The MEF Drive 4 Your School is scheduled for October 19 th at Brinson Ford in Athens. MISD employees who do a test drive will be able to wear jeans for two weeks. We encourage the community to participate. Ford will pay MEF for each test drive done during this event.

It's a great day to be a Tiger. Get your claws up!

Last week TES had several activities to celebrate Homecoming Week and to raise money for our wonderful Malakoff Education Foundation.
The students had a great time with the bounce house, a movie day with popcorn, Popsicles and a Penny War between the classes.

Students in grades K - 5 participated in the Homecoming Pep Rally and had a great time!
TES had a great turnout for the first book fair of the school year and we are very thankful! Thank you to Mrs. Carr for doing a great job running the book fair.
